  • Got the Opus X last time it was posted here. Great set. Bargain at $29. USB-C.

    • Do you find the volume on the lower side? Pretty good still, especially at this price.

      • +1

Personally, no. Loud enough for me but I'm also over 30.

        • Volume is fine for me too. I agree, great bargain! I paid around $39. Steal at $29.

          • @fozzie: I just find I need to have them louder (on my phone) than other headphones that I use. I don't normally have to increase the volume much with other headphones.

            • @ozbs25: Have you updated firmware?I have them on “amplified”. Gaming mode off (otherwise they do a dropout noise very often). Besides the latter problem they are excellent

              • +1

@fozzie: Not used to headphones with firmware. Didn't realise it was a thing. I will try and do it now.

Are these both dropping at 10am? Do these sorts of drops just get snagged within seconds?

  • Is the blackshark v2 multi device compatible?

    • +1

Pretty sure it is, comes with USB dongle for PC if not mistaken

I will vouch for the blackshark as not only a good sounding but also a robust and durable headset.
I bought some razer Krakens and they didn’t last a year before the earpieces and headband split apart (both the plastic and the cushion), but the blackshark V2s haven’t even got a shred of wear on them after 2+ years of moderate daily use video editing and gaming.
Mic quality is decent, buttons and knobs are good, 7.1 surround is nice but having to install some razer shovelware is kind of a drag. Overall though, very happy with these

These score lower than those good ole logitech G432s

    • I've had my HyperX Cloud 2 for a few years, the black 'leather' coating is now peeling off. Do you know if this Razer gear suffers from this?

      • I don't think it will, it doesn't have any leather on headset

      • In my experience, the Kraken did but the blackshark is yet to even show signs of wear around the headband cushion material

  • There is a new v2 pro that’s recently been released. This isn’t it.

    • So there is… from the Razer website:

What upgrades are found in the new Razer BlackShark V2 Pro?

The new Razer BlackShark V2 Pro comes with a next-generation super wideband mic for unrivalled vocal clarity, on-board audio profiles for competitive FPS titles, updates to Type C charging, and over triple the battery life at 70 hours. It is designed to be the ultimate wireless headset with mic for esports.

Model number on the eBay listing is definitely not the latest release per your comment.

Yeah it has added blue tooth functionality - even though bluetooth is inferior to 2.4 in terms of how much data can be transferred.

    • Yeaah that's what I was gonna say - you reckon it's worff $60 for the SQ and wireless capability? Fr though

      • +3

RRP in the US for the new one is $200, so very much doubt the new one will be anywhere near this price (even with $60 added) any time soon.

  • +1

Bit of a worry it's already showing as OOS

    • Back in stock. For now

  • Can seem to add it to cart

  • PWESNS seems to be the code

Gah can someone buy me one :( lol

  • +1

It says: The seller isn't accepting bids or offers from you.

SOLVED: Ebay support advised the seller had a list of blocked member accounts. They had some hidden eligibility criteria that eBay cant advise, but I assume it's something like "new customers only' as I have bought from this seller before.

I created a new ebay account and used the free month ebay plus to buy this. Phew.

  • ordered for $74.00.
    thanks

Having had the Blackshark V2s for the past 2 years, the only thing I could complain about is the micro usb as its wonky as hell. Otherwise this headset is brilliant for me, low weight and comfy fit, good mic and great sound (EQ settings are around). Besides light staining on the inside of the pads there is no ware visible.

This was a no brainer pickup for me at $74, headsets sorted out for next several years. Cheers.

  • These are the 2020 model, not the updated 2023 model

  • The Opus X is showing as almost OOS and hasn't even reached the sales date/time yet.. 😅

    • Anyone know which codes will work for the Opus X? TIA!

      • The Opus X's are live! GLHF. <3

        • I've already updated the code in the description.

  • +1

    Opus X
bought one last sale, just bought another one for $29 for my kid :)

  • Opus X still available. Just grabbed one.

  • bought the opus x. Does anyone have problems with it powering off after a very short period of time of inactivity? This makes it too frustrating to use. I instantly want to refund this if there is no fix. Manual doesnt say anything and app can't be used in windows.

    • Yeah you can turn off, you need to download the app on android or iphone etc and connect them to the app via bluetooth once connected hit the settings cog and change the Auto Standby feature, can change to longer time or never even. Think default is set to 5 minutes. Also can use the app tp update firmware.

      • Can you do this in windows?
