Hi all, just saw this in my email - Ableton Live Suite Upgrade (Live Lite -> Live Suite) is being offered 50% off to Novation/Focusrite customers. There are a few caveats, but they're not particularly difficult to meet:

• must have purchased an applicable product since Sept 1 2022 (see product list at bottom)
• product will have to be registered with Novation/Focusrite on their website, i.e. will prevent 2nd-hand products working if already registered)
• it seems to only be for specifically Live Lite > Live Suite. The products come with Live Lite

One thing to note, this purchase is from the Focusrite store, not directly through Ableton, so it doesn't take into account the upgrade pricing for Live Lite > Live Studio that Ableton offer ($959 AUD via Ableton directly). This deal worked out to be $567 AUD today after applying the discount. Apparently there's usually a 20-25% sale in June which would bring the $959 upgrade directly through Ableton down to around the $720 mark.

They say "while stock lasts" which is a bit odd for a digital product, but maybe they can only upgrade a certain number of licenses. Get in early if you want this imo rather than waiting until the end of the deal period. Seems to me it would work for a newly purchased product too, I didn't see anything mentioned that barred that option.

  Slightly unrelated but I upgraded from ableton suite 10 to 11 cheaper by changing my country to china. Might be some upgrade paths cheaper that way as well.

    Do you remember how much it was? Its $329AUD for me to upgrade from suite 10 to 11.

      It was about $216 AUD and in Japanese Yen not China actually.

        Was that using a VPN? Attempted to change Billing Address to Japan but made no difference.

        Looks like the cheapest qualifying product is the LaunchPad Mini Mk3. Grab one of those to score the 50% off (might only make sense for Live 11 Suite) then sell it on if you don't need it.

            @bboarder: Thank you. Can confirm the upgrade price for Live 10 Std to Live 11 Suite drops from AUD $539 to $461.70 (plus any currency conversion fees?) using this method. I haven't made a purchase yet, will think about it (just upgraded Komplete Ultimate 12 to Komplete Collectors Edition 14 with the 50% off sale.

  Thanks OP - purchased Novation Launchpad Mini MK3 on Tuesday ($123 delivered - Belfield Music eBay store). That arrived today and it comes with Ableton 11 Lite. Upgrade was straightforward and I received the key a few hours after purchasing the licence via the Focusrite store. Was going to purchase 11 Suite (Education price) under my partners name for $659 but for about $675 I’ve got the software in my name plus a Launchpad Mini.
