      • As in the Feather Friends sleeping bag? Nice bag.

        • yes, i figured i would just invest in 1 good one since it should last me a lifetime.

  • I dislike tapered sleeping bags. Maybe if you are of limited vertical stature you will be fine.

not much in melbourne either, would have been good on the cold nights sleeping in my car due to housing shortage ……

      • On my travels, find long term backpackers sometimes leave behind good sleeping bags & bulky warm clothes when leaving the country.

Have picked up great sleeping bags here in Sydney & Cairns. Should be similar in Melbourne. But in cold weather, those are snapped up by new arrivals.

Found an almost new down bag where I was staying in Osaka. Wanted to keep it, but I travel cheap & light. I had my own down bag.

As the budget hotel was in a poor area, gave it away to an older guy I got to know, sleeping rough outside.

Gave away lots of (washed) warm clothes left by Foreigners. They fly out after 2 year work visa expire. Too much to fly home with. So left at hostels.

Just something I enjoy doing on my long journeys… A way to get to know the locals.

Long ago, lived in squats in Adelaide. Much warmer than a car!
