Samsung 7.5kg Front Load Washing Machine WF1752WPC $523.50 Delivered (after $75 Cashback)

240
HIGHFIVE

After seeing this good OzBargain expire http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/76637 I was on the look for a similar deal, it appears that model has been superseded by a newer one.

I found the new model on appliancesonline for $647 but with their best price guarantee rang them and mentioned I saw it cheaper here: http://www.webprice.com.au/online-store/samsung-wf1752wpc-7-… which brought it down to $630 (this was including delivery to Melbourne city).

Also mentioned the 5% off coupon code which brought it down to $598.50 then registered it online for the $75 cash card using the following link: http://www.samsung.com.au/promotions/home-appliances/fridge-…

i don't need a washing machine at all.. but that is some damn fine haggling dude..

Thank you kindly, I think I was an OzBargainer before I even found this website ;)

      • +3

Mmm, the force is strong with this one…

  • Did you ring around your local Masters stores? They still had some of the old models floating around for $420 after cashback. As per my post here - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/76869

    • I did see your post before hunting down this one mate but thought it was only that one store in NSW with stock left. If anyone can find stock still thats also a really good option, im not sure the difference between the two models tbh.

All I know is my old Simpson toploader (purchased from a suspicious looking chap in Richmond) had its last chance today when it flooded for the sixth time.

    • You are not comparing apples to apples mate. The one u bought is only 1000 RPM. This it's actually replacing the 1400 model I think.

      • I don't know any thing about washing machines so you could well be right, im just going by the webpage on appliancesonline that says this is the replacement model: http://www.appliancesonline.com.au/75kg-front-load-samsung-w…

What would be the benefit of a faster spin and can you recommend a better model for similar price, bit late for me now but could help someone else looking to buy.

  • I mentioned in that expired deal that I got this model for $550 before cashback so total would be $475.

Didn't include delivery but I was picking it up anyway.

Appliances Online seem to be pretty good with the delivery, install and removal of old. so +1 for that

    • Yes - ordered today and they are delivering Tuesday so very happy with that, they promise good communication on the delivery day also. They are also taking the old one away and installing the new one for me.

    • Hi, quick question, what car did u transport it with? Is it small enough to fit in a hatchback?

      • We have Grand Vitara but still had to fold the rear seats down so not sure if it will fit in a hatchback. It's hard to say though cos we used to have a Laser hatchback which may have done the job too. If you can find the dimensions of the washing machine anywhere, probably add 10cm to the width and height and this should give you a rough idea.

    • Hey buddy,

Could you post your receipt pls,

      cheers

  • Hmmm tempting, my Samsung J845 has lasted 7 years other than a POS door mechanism has been fine until its seems the water inlet solenoid has failed.

From the 1/5 stars on product review for the J845 and multitude of problems I'm not thinking of wasting money on repairs - I'm just not sure if I can dance the dance with Samsung again…..but the price….

    • My personal experience of Samsung has been abismal, and I've had a few friends with similar issues. Having researched the company a bit more since I had Samsung I've basically discovered IF it works then your Samsung will be pretty good, if it doesn't then bad luck. I've also discovered that it's a big if because the failure in their white goods seems to be incredibly high. I'll never touch Samsung again for anything period.

  • That "HIGHFIVE" discount code work for all items in applianceonline? I'm after a Samsung fridge (with $200 cashback). btw did they just "match" webprice's price, or did they beat it? Thanks.

    • +1

They beat it by $5 so pretty much 'matched' in my opinion. Yes the code works for everything - the Samsung rebate also works for certain Fridge models.

      • Thanks, just rang - the appliancesonline rep wouldn't do it, "It's either pricematch or 5% off, not both". And he wouldn't beat it by $5 like in yr case either. So guess it differs from product to product, or rep to rep (he checked it with his superiors before calling me back).

  • we have the same model Washing Machine and its been working like a charm for the last 3 years. Highly Recommended. btw, I had purchased this machine in 2009 from Good Guys for $550 all up, including a 5 year extended warranty(valued $95).

    • Hey mate,

Did you buy exactly the same model? If yes, then can you post your receipt. Still deciding if I'll go with this one, Bosch is the other option but they are only 6.5 in similar price.

      cheers

  • speaking of the samsung rebate, has anyone got it yet? i bought the washing machine from the last deal (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/76637) exactly 2 weeks ago, had it delivered the next day and submitted all documents. My online claim status has been stagnant at "Awaiting" since…

    • registered mine same day as purchase but waiting for the serial number off the washing machine before they will full accept the cash back claim. Did you file your serial number on the website?

      • yes i filed the serial number. you can find yours on the washing machine.

  • Appliances online price match - waste of time. Free delivery but won't match the pick up price from Good Guys even if I pick up from them, which they allow - lol. Even with 5% code GG still cheaper, its a sad day when someone can't beat GG!

If you are happy to wait for delivery its all good though :)

  • The bearings in my Samsung front loader (was nearly $800) have worn out after ~6 years, not sure if I'd go with Samsung again & for the cost to repair it I may as well get a new washer :/

    • +1

6yrs is pretty good return on investment. They don't make them like they used to so I think you'd be hard pressed to find other brands consistantly outperforming this. :-)

  • I have this exact model for about 2 years.
    I love it.
Some digits in the digital display have failed so all 8 appear as 0 and F is an upside down L.
That is not an issue as I still know what it says.
It washes nicely even on the 29 minute quick wash and at a spin of upto 1400 rpm it makes the clothes almost dry when they come out.
Very quiet when washing and has some handy other settings like intensive wash, delay start and easy iron which are easy to program.
The only thing I don't like is it beeps when you turn it on and off as well as when finish whiich is just being picky but thats all I can find not to like about it.
I think I got this for about $600 at Hardly Normal so this is a great deal I can recommend.
Can anyone tell me how long the warranty is as?

  • This is a good deal.

I've a Samsung J845 myself (~6yrs) and its always performed well. Had to repalce the drivebelt a few months ago but thats a $10 cost and easy to do yourself.

From what I can tell the first few generations of Samsung washing machines had patchy quality - hence the reviews of them on some sites are VERY POOR…..take my J845, it's got abysmal ratings and people had MAJOR probs with these.

However, the newer and current generations samsung washers are meant to be a LOT BETTER. I'd have no problem buying again.

This definitely looks a nice deal, well done OP.

    • Thanks Nikko, just got the washing machine installed and delivered today - was very happy with the service from this company. Myself and the girlfriend will be celebrating tonight with a bottle of bubbly and watching our pants spin round through the window (screw you top loader).

      • So does that mean you will be sitting there … sans pants? Sounds romantic :)

  • Out of stock now

  • This a great deal! Out of stock?

  • Finally got it from Harvey Norman for $550
