  • In Brisbane for Magic Round, I was shocked by the number of scooters on the street.

Coming from NSW where they aren't legal (but not uncommon) there were literally hundreds of scooters in the main streets of Brisbane - often driven by people without helmets or much road sense….

  • Tempted to pick up a Lite for my quick fang to and from work. Anyone have experience with it?

    • How much range are we talking?

      • Like 1km. Figure it could be useful for minimising my time walking there via bike path, particularly on my lunch breaks haha

      • I can't find any reputable, independent reviews of the Life anywhere though…

    • forget about fanging lol, i have the regular 3. At full charge it's magic but when it's below 80% the voltage decreases progressively which hinders acceleration and even top speed.

I try not to get it below 50% because anything below that it's just barely faster than running.

that said on asphalt, you can get it to slide a little bit once you're more confident with the braking and that is always fun albeit a bit dangerous.

If I could return the DOA Segway f40a from Luckymi, I will seriously consider these two. Unfortunately, I’m stuck with f40a. They asked me to contact Panmi for repair!

    • +1

Panmi have repair centres all over the country for Segway and Xiaomi scooters. They may even replace it.

    • +4

DOA is an instant return. Not repair. Your choice of refund or replacement. You can contact your card provider or bank for assistance, too.

  • Is it that much better than Razor's for $350 @ Big W?

    • Significantly better. Razor's scooter is a POS. Doesn't use lithium batteries and low voltage.

  • Is it legal to ride in NSW?

  • This or the Segway G30L for $100 more?

    • +1

they are all made by Ninebot. Just get the cheaper one

      • Ninebot makes the Segway and the Xiaomi?

        • yes.

Ninebot is backed by Xiaomi, and Ninebot acquired Segway, forming Ninebot-Segway.

When i purchased my Xiaomi ES 3 it says "ninebot-segway" on the packaging etc.

  • Thanks OP, pulled trigger on a Lite. For anyone who is on the fence, ebay automatically stacked code THRILLINDEAL for an additional $35 off bringing price from allphones for the Lite down to $347.80.
