Good device, bought one with the accessory pack in 2012 for around $250 if I my memory serves me right.
Still is my main filed recording device until this day.

  • Bought one for 99USD 10years before.

  • I picked up the Olympus LS-10 from a deal way back for 71 bucks, I have barely used it, but I thought about it yesterday as I was thinking it might double as a USB Mic for PC. It doesn't but there was a lot of praise for the Zoom device in the comments, anyone know of this does?

Works very well as a USB mic - I use it for everyday for online calls and Discord. There's a standard tripod mount at the bottom which makes it a little easier to mount to a microphone boom arm if needed.

  • Cheers. I have barely any idea what I need one of these for but I know I need it.

  • Interesting snippet from a review of this:

    https://composerfocus.com/zoom-h2n-review/

    "Use as a Field Recorder
So, why would a composer bother doing field recordings? Simple Answer: It’s easy money.

You can sell your field recordings on stock music/audio sites, right alongside your music and sound FX. A 10-minute ambient recording of silence can sell for about $60 a license. All you have to do is put the Zoom H2n in your backyard and hit record. Or make a useable recording of a car engine, dog barking, or crowd cheering.

I know. It’s a kick in the teeth to learn that field recordings are worth as much as your music; but the fact is, there is a market for it. Foley artists, filmmakers, effect creators, and game audio designers need them. And going out to do field recordings is a good excuse to get away from the computer for a while. Consider it."

    Dayum, missed out.

    • I recommend checking thru the amazon app. theres still 2 left as of now. YMMV
