  • I had these, they are terrible! Hard to open for refill and can only use foaming soap. Go to Kmart instead.

    • Well it is a foaming hand wash machine?

      • +1

Yes it is, but what i mean is that it restricts your options in terms of the range of soaps you can use. But the main thing is that its nearly impossible to refill

        • +5

I drilled a hole in the bottle to refill with a funnel, pretty easy.

          • +1

@teacherer: Yup, I have 3 of these around the house - great product! Drill a hole and get a silicon cap for it and all sorted :)

        • +2

'Nearly impossible' is an exaggeration. There's also 3D print designs available for a replacement, screwable cap.

    • thanks, ordered 2

    • I bought a $7 refillable reservoir from Ali Express, and then a boatload of handwash from Amazon, and it's been fine since.

Just remember you need to water the handwash down to 70% or so.

      • +1

Can you please share the link to the "refillable reservoir from Ali Express"? Thanks.

        • +2

          Here you go.

I think it's just a reused bottle with a new cap/lid, but it worked for me.

  • Is this the soap dispenser that’s impossible to refill unless you buy the same brand soap refills?

    • I drilled a hole in the bottle to refill with a funnel

    • Yep, you can remove the lid but it will break eventually

  • +1

My Xiaomi Auto Soap Dispenser lasted about 13 months before going kaput

  • I'm more after the xiaomi electric precision screw driver

  • +2

My last one lasted like 40 days max damaged by water getting into it.
Lol water is expected to get on top of this, then seaped in hardware sensors etc damaging it
Its meant to be used in bathroom.

And also do not leave batteries in it, it will also cause rust with water in it incase yours is like mine too.

So yeah best to just get a manual foam pump dude, which won't fail due to stupid electical designs, or poor seals.

Btw if anyone knows a big foam dispenser please share it (with capacity of at least 750 mL, ideally 1L but i doubt to find that size in Market) - this is sole reason i am still on liquid soaps cause can just chuck liquid soap in any 1L bottle e.g. shower gel, hand soaps, etc. And have a big 1 L hand soap dispenser.

    • +1

Yeha mine lasted a year before it rusted through

    • Poor quality product, mine last less than two months

  • +1

    Don't get the foam dispensers.
    Got two.
Broke within a couple of months.

    • you mean dont get automatic foam dispenser ? I assume.

Manual pump ones should be fine though, but just need a bigger pump like 700-1000 mL size.

I got this one https://amzn.asia/d/5EOpKdW and I love it, got it on sale for around $24. Easy to refill, has a "self cleaning" function and touch adjusted 4 levels. Had another brand which was battery then the battery leaked or something and it corroded the spring thing so I rather just charge it. From the comments of these dispensers in general I think the rechargeable bit will last longer than the battery internals rusting

    • I got the same, way better than then drilling a hole etc. Works like a charm

      • I did have 1 that had a minor issue in that it became unresponsive for a while after 1 pump (I usually do 2) and after sending them a message and a video, they sent me another one, pretty good service!

    • What's the self cleaning function?

      • +1

Put the pump bit in a cup of water, tap 3 times and it'll do a reaaally long run if it starts to get a bit cloggy.

How is everyone having so much issues with the Soap Dispenser?
I've had 2 for 3 years now. Only 1 has malfunctioned recently. Other is still going great and would buy again.

    • +2

Yeah i've got 3, one is a bit dodgy to turn on/off - but I don't really turn it on/off very often so it's not a huge deal.

Have had them for a few years

  • +1

I like the idea but it's just another thing in my house that needs a battery

    • +2

Ouch. Get the Amazon one from the above link, USB charge, and IP rating, refillable without hacking.

      • Do you buy specific foaming liquid or mix water and general hand detergent? How long has it been going for you?

  • Buy this Manual pump instead https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07Y8543WQ 450 mL 15 Oz $9.79
    or
this one https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B8D9LQF9/ 18 Oz $34.99 ITS crazzy how the extra very Oz cost so much

and these WONT BREAK and refillable super easily
