  • Interestingly showing as $1145 on TGG Commercial

  • Imgur has an interesting interpretation of what the image contains

  • 50hz in 2023…

    • Aren't all panels 60hz? I thought 50 hz is just marketing for AU region?

      • +1

Correct TVs are either 60 or 120. In Aus they limit the TV broadcasts only, to 50hz. In all other modes you get full hz output if content allows it

        • Cool so you are still getting 4k/60 with your PS5/XSX which is the main thing lol

          • @Iggemo: you want to get 4k/120 for ps5… 4k/60 is easy nowdays

            • @moonphase: Newer high end TVs do 4K120 but on PS5 theres only a handful of games that do it. Also it lessens the graphics when on. Xbox has more with 120 but same problem. Id rather have better graphics enabled than better fps.

  • Is the tv any good or is there better for same price

What do you need out of a tv? If you are a casual watcher dont care about finer details, blooming, perfect black levels, etc then this is fine.

Is it your main tv or for extra room?

    • Not sure really don’t want to spend loads for a tv right now in future yes the bells and whistles once we settle in our own place.
Let’s say the only expensive tv I have purchased was a 3d tv back in 2016 still going strong.
That’s in the cinema room. Our other lounge has an old target tv from cant remember I think 50 inch was in last place lounge also and bedroom before that.

A very old possibly 2009 plasma stopped working in our bedroom so was thinking of putting the target tv back in bedroom and get something for the other lounge like this.
I like my 3d was late to the party of watching 3d so happy to keep this tv in cinema room.
But be nice to get 4K in the other lounge.

But there is so much tvs out there and eofy coming and yes could settle for 65 inch or bigger just something that’s get a nice picture anda good buy.

    • They're suprisingly not bad for sport. Watch footy and the odd movie on one of these big BU8000's (75 inch) most Friday nights in a man cave. It'd be fine in a family room too, but might want something a bit higher end in a full on home theatre setup.

I don't think you get better bang for buck at least in the larger sizes of this TV, but maybe smaller there are other options.

  • I paid mine $832 at JB-hifi during the last deal 2 months ago, under 1k is still a decent price

    • +1

Wow $832 is even better price how can it be on clearance at current price if was cheaper before very tempted on this or wait for eofy year deals for something else.

  • +3

Any recommendation for a 43” tv?

  • This, or the LG 65uq9000psd at Costco for $975?

    • LG use IPS panels, avoid like plague: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/uq9000

      • +1

is IPS only good for monitors and bad for TV?

        • Correct :)

          • @[Deactivated]: why IPS good for monitors only?
that's weird…why that is that case

            are most TV's VA panel
and the expensive models are OLED panels?

  • What’s the better tv the Samsung on this post or this one.

Sony 65" X75K BRAVIA LED 4K UHD HDR Google TV [2022]

  • Hmm this 65" or tcl c735 75" ? About the same price, i like bigger but probably samsung is better… and i game with switch only not ps5

    • Bigger brand name is always prefer

but 75" is much bigger TV, so if you prefer size then that is better.

      what about C835 ?

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORg5dkb_ggs

      • Yeah i measure mine 55" with this 65" not much difference but maybe because my 55 has thick bezel.
So 65 and 75 difference alot?
Nah dont want to apend more $ c835

        • c835 is TCL second best TV below the C935.

Why not go for the 65" better tier TV for same price as the 75" lower tier C735.

C835 is miniLED vs QLED and has better features (including higher nits brightness, FALD and other stuff.
This will result in better HDR and picture quality

  • Just picked up the 50” with the 10% off. Added the sound bar and could not be happier as a good option for Apple TV and sports. No complaints about the $680 price I talked them into :)

    • what TV model?

so you did this instore and supplier your 10% off code?

      • Dang, sorry, I meant at JB for the 10% members on Tuesday. Samsung Q800 - not top of the line, but just what I need

  • I got this one on this post but now I’m wishing I had got the tcl c835 now but it is 75inch though and almost $500 more

  • Not sure why it’s expired still available from the hood guys and obviously jb hifi for same price.
