    Title very good

  • Really???

    • The kicker here is that this is actually a "good" asking price compared to other places.

  • You're effectively paying an extra 1 grand or there abouts (at the current terrible market asking prices) for that 2nd screen, if that's worth it for you, then I'd like a 4080 for Christmas please.

    • if you compare it to more budget oriented legion 7 and omen 17 units, definitely, but if you look into the higher end alienware, razer and msi offerings which this is supposed to compete against its not really that high, relatively speaking of course

      • What about the legion 7i, RTX 4090 for about 5K

        • Eh thats the ‘more budgeted oriented models’ i just mentioned?

Not saying this isn’t expensive but its also a premium rig mate. The miniled panel alone cost a small fortune. Is it needed on a gaming laptop? Hell no, but its things like that which adds to the price.

Legion 7 is far from a premium rig, especially this years model where it’s actually cut back from previous years, it’s speculated that lenovo is preparing to release their own flagship-the legion 9-sometime in the future.

  • This price is a joke. I'm still waiting on a similar Zenbook Pro, but if this is any indication it will be close to $4k as well. Asus are dreaming.

  • In terms of terrible design, this laptop has got to take the cake. And yet it's the most available 7945hx laptop in Australia it seems.

I just want a boring 16 inch aluminium laptop with this processor. I cannot fathom why Asus would make a laptop with such a cramped keyboard and terrible trackpad

    • its avalible in jbhifi as a sample unit, go in person and have a try mate, its really not as bad

keyboard isnt really cramped per se-unless you are complaining about the lack of space to the left and right of the keyboard? and typing feedback is great. laptop comes with a complementary wrist rest albeit i use it without with no problem-do note my hands are on the smaller side, so may differ from person to person. trackpad is tiny that is true, but for a gaming laptop the click and responsiveness is definitely up there, its also quite workable once you get used to it and assuming you are a righthanded person. no luck if you are left handed, of course.

    • with that said, do hold on for a bit more though, computex is still going and high chance more brands are going to annouce dragon ridge amd gaming laptops, one might fit your need. amd have some production issues lately and one of the reason there arent few amd gaming laptops this year

  • fixes most of the problem I had with the duo 15se and the duo 16. 9/10 would buy again. dont have a problem with the keyboard and you get numpad so no complaints there. sucks if you are a left handed folk but otherwise its workable and no lessor than other gaming laptops typing experience-not that its a high bar

stupidly expensive but when you look towards high end msi/razer machines, its a 'bargain' and price is roughly on par if not a bit more expensive than alienware. l7p is cheaper but not the same build and screen quiality with lenovo cutting back on the design, likely the speculated legion 9 would be the new flagship with the extra premium in build and pricetag

    • Do you have the invoice for the purchase? I want to match the price. I want to buy it recently, but I don’t know when it will be discounted.

      • Sorry I didnt buy from jbhifi but from a small store on ebay which didnt even give me a invoice to began with.

  • $4,750 damnnnn. Looks like a beast of a machine but I think its much more economical to have a desktop for graphically intense gaming and a mid range laptop for on the go gaming.

  • damn. the original price. $6k
