    Look into the Thermarest compressable pillow. I think Find Sports currently have the best price - https://www.findsports.com.au/p/therm-a-rest-compressible-pi…

    It doesn't pack down as small, but many hikers have agreed that its worth the extra space in your pack

    For hiking I have this one which I like as a side sleeper:

      We are planning for our first camping trip soon so collecting all the basic gear.
      Why do you have a different pillow for hiking and camping?
      Also could you suggest some options for mattresses please - double and single?

        That particular pillow packs smaller and is lighter so easier to carry in a backpack than other ones which you just throw in the car for camping.

        The same would apply for sleeping pads etc
