  If Bunnings is nearby, their 30 pack AA (and 24/AAA) is now made in Germany again. The price did go up to $11.98 though.

  Got some of tge AAA from Bunnings made in Germany. They leaked even just after 1 year of storage in my office room before even using them. Anyone got similar issues with these Varata?

    I've bought a lot for work and some for home and haven't experienced leaks in storage. There have been leaks in devices that haven't been used for a long time though.

    Yes damaged a clock, a torch and a label maker. Never again Varta. And I know its ozbargains choice, but not for me. All within a year and very little use.

  If you use a lot of batteries, go for Ikea's LADDA or eneloops.
  If you only use AA/AAA occasionally, wait for $10 JB Perks, then ask JB price match the best bargain somewhere else at that time, you will get a pack for 24 for $2 or so.
