Can't say much about others as I only have a waterpik. But in my personal experience it has been very good for my parent. She used to be unable to clean the gaps between her back tooth properly via brushing (she doesn't floss and is not receptive to learning how to do it). But now with waterpik she is able to get to places she normally cannot via brushing. It's improved her oral health as she says she area where food used to get stuck which made the area tender is no longer painful after using for a few weeks. She's able to chew on that side of her mouth again without discomfort.
For the low entry cost (compared to dental work if you don't clean properly) I think it is a very good device to try.

How do these compare to the equivalent Phillips varieties? Been contemplating purchasing one for my parents.
