Throw this in the bin and just use $3 Shine dishwashing powder.

Been on it for about 3 months, used one container and just cracked the second one.

That's 1 load a day, minimum because of kids. No detrimental affects.

But this has a powerball, and uses quantum technology FTW

      • The problem with the Choice reviews of dishwasher powder/tablets is that they deliberately select cycles that don't have a prewash. Better prewash is exactly why powder is better.

Im with you but given the reviews i went tables.

      https://www.rejectshop.com.au/p/finish-classic-tab-orig-110p…

      x2 110 tablets for $35.

This works out to 15.9c a wash. .

For the equivalent washes in shine (220), youll be paying $18.6.

So yes per wash you are getting good value but dont know how it is performance wise.

Bur i appreciate you sharing your experience.

  • I find this one pretty average while the pro version is actually much better

  • I think i saw similar price in bunnings in Adelaide yesterday

  • Handwash is the best wash

    • Hand wash your expensive knives and cookware for sure. But the $60-$80 dinner set depending on how many people that dinner set sits, should be OK.

Worst thing I’ve seen in the past is glassware get scratched over time going through the dishwasher regularly, so my semi expensive wine glasses get hand washed as well and have some cheaper glasses for every day use but they don’t seem to be getting scratched up either.

Someone once mentioned actual sand was used in dishwashing powder hence the scratches. That’s scary.

  • You can often get your Quantum Balls I mean tablets from Reject Shop as well. I got four bags of 32 - the writing is Turkish and English, but more Turkish.

I had two Bosch service guys who happened to be here for something else, tell me no way to ALDI powder but then they told me about the bulk Finish tablet deals on eBay and somehow, probably from junk mail, I discovered various Finish tablets from the basic up to the “All in One” and Quantum Max at great prices from Reject Shop.

Since I live alone the dish washer only goes on about once, maybe twice a week, so my packets, probably used two so far, are still going and I probably have enough to last me another few years yet as I went a bit over board. It could have been more than four packets. It was more than five years ago when I got them.

I haven’t checked the cleaning comparison but I will. I was told by a plumber to use ALDI powder, however the Bosch guys said no way, showed me the residue left from the ALDI power, told me to stick with the Finish, just find it in bulk and you will save a fortune. So since I paid around $1300 for a German made series 6 Bosch (the Series 8 were way out of my price range but this one I have had everything I could want and getting it about about seven or so years ago now, and it’s been running like a charm

I do swap a bit between ALDI and Finish Rinse Aid though. Apparently whatever is cheap and guys had no particular opinions on rinse aid in terms of performance, but Finish must have done desks with every major brand as every brand comes with free Fibish Tablets snd Rinse aid to to try plus all the instructions / user guides etc, all say we recommend Finish etc etc.

Back onto the rinse aid and I’ve seen some very cheap deals on Finish Rinse Aid from time to time. Not always from Colesworth either. Though sometimes Coles will drop their pants on Tablets if they need to clear stock a new improved tablet with sim special new feature comes out

Even at their cheapest, Coles still can’t beat the imported Finish ones available from The Reject Shop.

I’m well stocked with a box of basic tablets as well in case I run out or forget to buy, as long as they don’t have a used by date and the packet is sealed so I’m not concerned by moisture getting in to the packets or box so I don’t expect to run out soon.

But if I’m doing it wrong please educate me. Thanks.
