Although, I use it as a way to plug my phone into a fast charger while using AA as the USB port in most cars is slow charging only.
Why would battery consumption be high? Isnt it like Bluetooth or wifi connection?
WiFi is power-hungry when compared to Bluetooth, and especially power-hungry when compared to a USB connection that also provides power, even if slowly.
Does this also make your phone super hot?
I have the AAWireless one and it makes my phone run quite warm.

I have one and have never had an issue with my phone getting hot or anything. Im using a Fold3

Has anyone had issues with wireless connectivity for AA in general? I once ran a test and the lag was crazy bad. AC didn't seem to have it this bad. Does this device negate that issue?
I have been using carsifi for the last 4 months on my Atoto f7 with galaxy fold 3, no issues. Takes about 20-40 seconds to connect, works everytime.
One is designed and manufactured by Motorola, the other some random brand.
There may not be any real world differences, but I would expect this one to be better quality and supported for longer.
I have one of these from Aliexpress (same price inc. shipping) and it works very well.
Connects and have google maps in well under a minute. No noticeable lag.

I have the same head unit. Any noticeable lag using the wireless adaptor? Is the assistant responsive to voice commands?
No lag, just the same as before. It takes about 37 seconds to get connected. It is fine with Google assistant. The device disconnected only once in four days while driving, then automatically reconnected. I am using S23 ultra.
