Not quite the best discount seen for the castle @ $499. But still a nice 23% off RRP for those that want to get on the Hogwarts Castle.

If anyone doesn't mind getting alternate bricks - https://youmko.com/products/16060-potter-movie-series-academā€¦

~$158 + Shipping - there's also discount codes all the time from 7-10% off.

I've used the site multiple times, they're great.

    • Are those sets identical apart from using fake Lego bricks? Or are they inspired variations?
Whilst my Lego collection is all legit Lego sets, I'd be keen to buy some older retired sets that I missed out on.

      • You can find which sets are 1:1 clones on brick4.com just search for your set you want, and it'll show you the alternate sets.

This specific one is the same yeah.

        • Thanks… The first site looks good, caters to a global market. I've cut back on Lego spending and maybe this is a way to still quench the desire to collect and build šŸ¤£

          • @10101010101: That's what I've been doing, the big lego sets are just unreasonable these days imo.

        • The good thing about LEGO tho is you can buy it, build it and have your fun and then resell for similar money, alternate bricks are a dead loss, no one wants them.

          • @benaud: Depends what you want it for though, I keep mine not resell them.

          • @benaud: Where do you sell your sets? Built or do you break them back down? I think I need to reduce my collection (or the kids collection)

            • @10101010101: I don't sell myself, but i also don't buy these massive sets. But i see plenty on Ebay & Markerplace, you'd have to look to see if it makes a difference if its built or not.

              • @benaud: Ah yes, the fact they're up for sale doesn't mean they get sold nor for the prices they are advertised for. I would expect a substantial discount would be expected for a second-hand set built or not. Exception would be rare or certain retired sets. Pretty sure my kids City series would be worthless even if they were BNIB.

At the moment I collect, and build where time permits:
                Modulars
                Helmets
                Speed champions
                Chinese New year
                Christmas sets
                Brickheadz
                Botanical range
                Some 3 in 1 creators
                Some ideas
                Some Monkey Kid
                Other miscellaneous sets
                Monster Jam
                Some 1:8 scale cars
Some other larger cars e.g. Aston Martin, etc.
                Some trains
                Some Star Wars

But far too many themes and cost of living pressures means I probably need to rationalise. I think I need to offload my Architecture sets and probably some others
