  • Good deal for pandas.

More so for broads in Atlanta.

This is cheap and looks nice, but I had similar (just a laundry basket) and it fell apart after a year, you get what you pay for!

    • +1

For $12, you still get 2 baskets after it falls apart.

      • How? Non-removable (polyester and paperboard) fabric baskets are part of the structure!

        • Unscrew the baskets and you have a mobile clothes hanger.

          • +1

            @Igaf: Good luck!
            Small hanger @118cm(H) x 38cm(W) x 51cm(D)
Will be even more flimsy & unstable with baskets removed!

As the basket frames are integral to the structure - might not work to hang anything on it! Without any weight in the base - likely will topple over.

            • @INFIDEL: The vertical struts are tapered at the top. Wouldn't take more than 10 mins and some dowel to add a bottom brace or two. Fine for a few shirts to hang off. Bamboo is quite strong wood. Flimsiest parts look to be the wheels.

              • +1

                @Igaf: As I said - good luck!

That's a bit of effort to redesign & strengthen it (also add weight to base to provide stability), rather than search for a cheap mobile clothes hanger designed for your use. Plenty on eBay.

      • What makes you believe polyester and paperboard (fabric hanging baskets) will outlast bamboo? And still be useful?
        Wishful thinking!

        • It’s not the bamboo I’m concerned about it’s the glue joints.

          • @ATangk: You realise the basket frames are joined & fabric attached with that glue😉

Likely weakest / wobbliest points of frame are usually at the self assembly dowels. Could always glue, but it's designed for easy disassembling.

            Report back with your results.
I've seen, adapted & repaired similar products that had been quickly discarded.

            • @INFIDEL: No idea because I didn’t pick any up. They do sell similar baskets as standalone products so that’s where I’m thinking you can still use it when the big a frame falls apart.

              • @ATangk: Seen those - a different product - strengthened to be self supporting baskets.

These have a heavier bamboo hoop at the top. The fabric will collapse, when not suspended from the frame.

Yalls not just piling the clothes up on the 2008 old broken officeworks racer chair sitting in the corner of the room?

    • ¿Por qué no los dos?

    • +5

Only when I'm not sitting on it. It's moved to the bed then.

      • +2

You sit on your chair on the bed?

    • Nah, on my main 2022 gaming chair :/

    Mobile drinks cart anyone? 🥃

Now you are talking like an ozbargainer.

  • Cant find any stock in the 5 closest stores

  • +6

I did see this the other day but I wasn’t sure what it’s for. You don’t seem to be able to remove the baskets (to take laundry to the laundry) and the description says it’s to stack clean clothes. Isn’t that what draws are for?

    • +1

I know someone who uses this as a kind of storage next to the lounge chair. Mainly for remotes, chargers and paperwork that'd typically sit on the kitchen bench top in a lot of houses.

  • Btw wtf is bamboo shelf is shelf

My local stores says stock available when I go to check stock, but when I go to buy, it says no stock available and I can’t purchase. K-Mart system is a joke

    • Which store is that?

    • +3

that's actually very common, and Bunnings as well
      both systems are junk.

    • Shows not available to order online.
All stores near me show as in stock.

    • Staff has mentioned to me before - low stock = no stock most of the time.

      • +1

Not always. I have called the store when it is showing as low stock & requested staff to confirm availability. More often than not, stock was located and set aside for me. I've even found stock of items in-store that were showing as out of stock for that store online. Their system is definitely not reliable.

  • Picking up tomorrow, anyone confirm there's plently of these at Melbourne CBD instead of just one or two remaining in stock?

  • +7

Serious question - do people actually need this? Just seems like more clutter that doesn't solve whatever it is this thing is trying to fix?

    • I got it due to wanting something on wheels I could move my already folded clothes from the laundry to my bedroom.

  • Got confirmation for collection, lets see if its actually there once i go to collect it

    It's unavailable everywhere now! 😔

    • It is showing in stock in many stores still. In VIC and NSW for instance.

I got an overhang bamboo stand in my bathroom and let me tell you Kmart furnitures are just the worst to deal with. Also it is so flimsy as if a small gust of wind could knock the whole thing over.
