eBay - Can't Find Link to Raise Complaint

Hi, need a bit of help.

I have eBay Plus and ordered 4 units of the same thing from an Australian supplier out of Melbourne. Four boxes arrived. All were labelled similarly indicating the contents as ordered. Three had the correct contents, but one had some weird gadget in it that is useless and valueless to me. Basically, I am one ordered item short.

I contacted the seller via the eBay form. detailing the error and including photos of the mislabelled box and "weird" gadget.

The seller is not responding. I wanted to raise a complaint through the eBay channels but cannot find a link.

What's the eBay protocol to resolve issues when the seller does not respond to customer complaints?

Thanks

You go through the official eBay resolution centre to raise a claim. If there's no response after X days, you can escalate for a manual eBay review.

    Thanks.

Seems maybe the simplest, less head-achy way is to simply return the stuff for a refund.

  • You haven't come across the resolution process on eBay? its like the reason most people use eBay - for buyer protection.

Failing that, contacting ebay's customer service is also easy to find and use and they would have told you about the resolution process.

Wow… I'm going to give you grief because thats shockingly lazy / ignorant.

Having a bad day there, mate?

nah pretty good day actually. As I disclaimed, just giving you some grief.

Those options are literally the first things that come up on google search for "ebay seller issues"

Tell us, did you actually bother to look it up yourself? Seriously.

I thought there was a link at the bottom of the order record on your ebay account age.Something like 'having trouble with this order' or 'report a problem'. Look again, and make sure your ad blocker or noscript is disabled.
Give seller a few chances, mentioning you will put in a claim if they don't respond. What % feedback rating does the store have and how many sales so far?

  • If you do need to chat to them, you can go straight to the help page and there is a link toward the bottom of the help page - https://www.ebay.com.au/help/home
