  • What's the battery life on these?

    • Power Source: 3 AAA Batteries (not included)
      Recording Interval: 10min, 30min, 60min (default), 120min, 180min, 240min
battery life is the batteries you used and Recording Interval decides

    • They last a long time on 30min logging cycle which is plenty

I like these, the app is decent and they record and make a graph for you

  • I have one in my car fridge, they say can connect upto 20m away but it only just connects to the app 5m away.
Tried new batteries and still the same. A bit disappointing really..

    • +1

      hi,
the model here is IBS-TH3, it is used by wi-fi.
so the connect distance is accounting to your wifi Signal.

      • Good call, I did buy the Bluetooth unit haha

    • +1

Yeah I don't think the "up to" figure really is applicable when you put a radio device in an insulated box.

Having said that, I have had mine in an old-school fridge and worked fine at ~10m to router via timber floor.

Edit - also be aware this is wifi via your router, not direct to phone, typically. That may mean it's operating at a much greater range than you think.

  • Bought a few for around $13 a couple of months back, probably what it's worth.

  • Had their Bluetooth units for a while, but got this wifi one last November when they first released. Works great, accurate and you can add it to SmartLife. Definitely recommend the wifi ones.

  • Does it connect to home assistant

    • Have (recent days) just got into Home Assistant and from the little researching to date I found that this model isnt supported with the Inkbird Integration, appears the earlier models are (because are Bluetooth from memory).

  • Can I connect it to wifi and then see the readings from anywhere with internet (not on the same wifi)?

    • +1

Yes. Across any devices you are signed into using your Inkbird account anywhere in the world.

  • So you can put these in your freezer and as ling as the wifi stays on, you will know if your freezer failed? Does it send an alert if temperature goes below a certain point?

    • I put mine in the fridge to calibrate as the temperature readings out of the box appeared ~4 degrees off. I was able to still read its value (suprisingly) on my phone as I was monitoring until it stabilised so I could calibrate to the fridges reported temperature.

  • What combination of codes gets the price down to $17? I can only get it to $29.

  • I missed this deal. Anyone got another one similar.

I see Bluetooth ones for $19.99. are they the same as wifi. Or a cheaper unit over all
