$10 Cashback on eBay Plus $4.99 Monthly Membership (New Customers Only) @ TopCashBack AU

611

A decent $5.01 profit for signing up to eBay plus $5 monthly subscription.

I am unaware on reliability of Topcashback though. Still it's a decent deal $5 profit easy

  • $30 referee bonus and you get a deal!

Its a little unfair deal IMO, the new person signing up should be the one getting more cashback, But ofcourse I dont control the company decisions

      • I know, Topcashback should do something about it!

  • +2

I’ve found it to be really good so far, in some cases cashback % has been quite a bit more generous than the other sites.

I've joined topcashback 2 weeks ago and so far both my purchases have gone untracked, will have to wait and see.

    • Top Cashback is an joke, tried it once on a 10 dollar item pizza hut, doesn't track , customer service is non existent. …. Takes 3 months to investigate , absolute joke. Try a reputable company like shopback or cash rewards… whatever they post is often on the others regularly .

It's not a $5.01 profit when you have to be signed up for at least 2 months. Keep this in mind:

If you return or cancel your order then you will no longer be eligible for cashback and you will see the cashback move to Declined in your account.

That being said, I don't have any experience with TopCashback.

I have however tested extensively using ShopBack; if you cancel eBay Plus before your cashback turns confirmed (60 days) it gets declined meaning minimum 3 months subscription.

    • Has to be remain active until cashback clears if its like shopback and CR

      • I dont see such term at shopback, is that a hidden terms and condition ??

        https://www.shopback.com.au/ebay-plus-membership

        • Some comment i read somewhere.

But as my comment below, its always advised you keep any account active for any type of subscription deal open until cashback is paid because approval is at merchants discretion, not topcashback

    • +2

This says it is for a monthly subscription purchase, it literally says that, not an ongoing one. There is a different cashback rate for annual.

      • Most cashback programs (for example monthly mobile phone plans) require your account to be active at time transaction is approved. Not sure if it applies to this

        @TopCashback AU Rep

        • Hmm yeah you might be right, im not really sure. The wording to me makes it sound like it's for a monthly sub purchase but who knows..

@easternculture: im gonna do it, i have faith in TopCB lel, they've given me $120 in referrals already so im gonna have faith and see what happens lmao

      • Yes interesting.

      • Subscription by definition means ongoing…

If you return or cancel your order

What is your order? Your subscription.

  • No issues with Topcashback

My 1 year ebay plus subscription ended last month, am I eligible for the cashback if I sign up to this?

    • +2

      @TopCashback AU Rep

Why'd you request comment deletion? Wondering this too, however mine ended just yesterday. This would be great timing as (very frustratingly) I can't use the $10 voucher I received which just had to land on the same day my membership was due to renew (I chose not to renew).

Lol he got his wires crossed and his reply to me he still had his wires crossed, I deleted mine as mine made no sense after he deleted his.

Based on his comment and comments above, I'd say the terms are copy pasted from the normal ebay cashback and the
"If you return or cancel your order"
Is about normal orders and not ebay plus,
thus an exiting ebay plus customer whos membership has lapsed and is starting it again via this link 'should' be fine.

    • Sorry our wires crossed. Unfortunately, existing eBay Plus Customers will not be eligible for cashback on Sign Ups

      • So, if a previous ebay plus customer whos plus membership has ended, and they take on a new plus membership via this link… they are not eligible?

        • Yes, unfortunately with eBay Plus, their rules are that they will have to be a new eBay Plus customer to get cashback

          • @TopCashback AU Rep: Does that apply to the annual subscription too? Previous annual subscription lapsed for me and I signed up again via TCB for the $20 annual cashback :(

            • @CVonC: Hi @CVonC, if you have already purchased, please submit an enquiry or claim if your cashback hasn't tracked and we can help you investigate this

              • @TopCashback AU Rep: I did submit a claim on 29/05 for missing cashback actually (25/05 eBay+ (re) sign up)

                I was told (01/06):

It typically can take retailers 1 -3 months in order for them to confirm the cashback. We'll be sure to chase this up for you and once we have an update, we'll be sure to let you know as soon as possible.

            @TopCashback AU Rep:

existing eBay Plus Customers will not be eligible for cashback on Sign Ups

I personally would understand this as, Existing (current) ebay plus members cannot be eligible for cashback sign up.
aka if someone is a ebay plus member now, they cannot signup for a new cashback offer and get money ?? - This basically just means ebay wont offer two cashback offers for same transaction, which is basically always the case

But you are saying existing means CURRENT or PAST ebay plus members cannot be eligible for cashback signups ? - AGAIN TO CONFIRM PLEASE, are you saying if someone in past had an eBay plus membership, which has expired now, then cannot get this cashback offer again on that same eBay account ?

Regardless terms and condition on website are totally scrapped probably, need updating ASAP

            Thanks

            • @USER DC: Hi everyone, apologies for the confusion. So our understanding of what an 'existing customer' especially for subscription based services, are those who are current or past eBay Plus members - we have updated the merchant page to reflect this. We are reaching out to the eBay Plus reps to clarify this but if you have already made a purchase, please submit an enquiry/claim if your cashback did not track and we will investigate this for you.

              • @TopCashback AU Rep: But no need to continue the monthly membership for more than 1 month yeah at least ?

                • @USER DC: That's correct, but if again, if it doesn't track as it should, please submit a claim and we will definitely look into that for you.

                  • @TopCashback AU Rep: What should we put in as the order number?

                    • @sub102: There's no order number for eBay Plus subscriptions, but you will see the transaction in your eBay invoices at the end of the month: https://www.ebay.com.au/sh/fin/report/invoices

I can confirm TopCashback paid out my claim after submitting my invoice.

                      • @Junk Sifter: Since I got no response from rep I went ahead and added the 'authorization code' from the confirmation email as order number and I too got the cashback

                      • @Junk Sifter: Update: When I was on my account yesterday I noticed my total cashback had dropped by around $10 and upon investigating I found out it was the ebay plus cashback that they added that has sneakily disappeared. Check yours again too

                        • @sub102: Same here, it has disappeared from my accnt. and can't even see it under declined, its just vanished.
They also denied my signup bonus even though I qualified.

                          • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: I had just got a response for my ticket when inquired, that it is because I had cancelled after one month which is ridiculous. Do they expect us to be subscribed forever? If not they should mention a certain time limit

                            • @sub102: I cancelled to, but it should show in declined section, it has just vanished with out a trace, I wouldn't of even noticed if I didn't see your comment.
Between the t&c's being a joke, this issue and denying my signup bonus I'm done with Tcb.

                              • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: That's not right eh they should be more transparent on that aspect. Did they reason your denial? I'd contest when dealt with unfairness like this

                        • +1

@sub102: Thanks for the ping, but I purchased an annual subscription in a previous promo and have already withdrawn the cashback after they confirmed my claim.

I warned everyone about cancelling the monthly subscription before the end of the month though.

            • +1

@USER DC: Agree with you. That's very misleading.

          • @TopCashback AU Rep: Top Cashback is an joke, tried it once on a 10 dollar item pizza hut, doesn't track , customer service is non existent. …. Takes 3 months to investigate , absolute joke. Try a reputable company like shopback or cash rewards… whatever they post is often on the others regularly .

            • @pedrothekiwi: Yes my experience with them hasn't been good.
              First 4 orders no tracking.
Denying me the signup bonus even though I qualified.

      • Hi @TopCashback AU Rep, I have previously tried their free trial, but never had a monthly or annual subscription, will I be eligible for this cashback?

        • Hi @OL123, yes if you only have tried their free trial, you should still be eligible for this as you would be a 'new customer' however if you don't see the cashback in your account, please submit a claim and we will honour it for you

  • +3

Ebay plus cashback from shopback isnt going anywhere. Appearently due to ebay not paying for it.

  • Is there an end date to purchasing this eBay Cashback Monthly Membership sign up ?

    • @chrisie no end date!

  • When someone has joined using your referral link should that appear in your earning?

    • +1

      Yes.

On another note, the $10 eBay bonus from yesterday still hasn't shown up in my earnings (it did last time), definitely activated it. I guess it'll show up soon…

      • @TopCashback AU Rep The bonus will show up soon as pending under the regular eBay cashback, right?

        • +2

Mine showed up after 22h ish today hope yours does too

      • It has not shown up since the 6th.

        • +1

Hi all, if any of your eBay transactions haven't tracked please give it a few more days as sometimes there can be a delay. If it's still not there, please submit a claim on our website.

@MiscOzB yes the bonus shows as a separate line - you should have received the bonus by now but if you haven't please PM us

  • So what's the verdict on this one @TopCashback AU Rep ? Do people with expired eBay Plus memberships qualify? Still don't see any mention of expired memberships in the T&C.

    • Hi @cynix, this is for new customers only but if you had already purchased the subscription prior to today, we will honour your cashback

      • It's been 10 days since I lodged the missing cashback claim. Haven't had any update yet

As long as we have all the information required we'll submit your claim to the merchant's network in our next batch. Please be aware this process can take several months but we'll be in touch as soon as we have an update.

        Can you please help?

        • Hi @oranglama, could you please PM us with your email so we can look into this for you?

  • Referred a family member. Their eBay cashback didn't track. After sending through a claim, TopCashback ended approving to "payment" status. (as eBay confirmation was taking too long).

Family got their $10 signup approved also as well as my $30 referral credit.

TopCashBack Rep here has also been very prompt in responding to my PMs

So far my experience with TopCashback has been great!

  • This deal was showing expired several days ago, but seems is now back again as Long Running???

    @TopCashback AU Rep,

The Promotion link directs to a valid cashback.
However, when searching on the TopCashback website, there are currently 2 separate eBay plus results:
    1) eBay plus - Up to $20 cashback
    And other result
    2) eBay plus New Member Deal (marked as New) - No Cashback.

Can you confirm if Number 1) search result is still valid? ie. The deal is back on?

    Thanks

    • Hi @NDIB, that's correct, so 1) the eBay plus up to $20 cashback deal is long-running (won't expire) however, the eBay plus new member deal is only for new TopCashback members/those who have not yet transacted via TopCashback yet - this new member deal expired on the 14th August.

      • @TopCashback AU Rep
Thanks for such a quick response as usual!

So the $0Cashback deal 2) referring to new TopCashback members who have "not yet transacted via TopCashback yet"

Meaning - Those members who have already previously signed up to TopCashback, but have not made any transactions yet(ie signed up but no Purchases yet)??

Cashback (deal 1) only available to existing TopCashback members who already have made other transactions/purchases?

        Please clarify, thanks!

        • @NDIB not a problem at all!

Yes, so 2) those who have already signed up to TopCashback but haven't made a purchase via the website OR new members are eligible too
And 1) is available to all TopCashback members i.e. those who have and those who haven't made a purchase via the website#

          Hope that clarifies it!

  • My cashback didn’t track 🙁. @TopCashback AU Rep When I lodge a missing cashback claim what should I enter as the order number? There’s an authorisation code in the eBay Plus confirmation email.
