Many comments in old posts about poor customer service, negging to warn others.

Also the ladies vintage bikes are really poor quality & even at $200 they are not a bargain.
Many parts are steel including the spokes & front cog which always rust.

I agree about the quality build, I bought a bike from their ebay store and the crankshaft started making noise within a few months, hardest part for me to replace due to needing a special tool.

This is the same comment as the last post. Have you actually had a bad experience or are you negging because other have?

  • Not sure about others, but I had a good experience at Reid Cycles in Adelaide before it closed.

  • If you buy an eBike in a box delivered, make sure you have some mechanical knowledge or know someone to help for assembly. Highly recommend test riding a bike first if it's your first purchase. Nothing beats the knowledge and experience of your LBS (local bike shop), plus when issues arise they will always be happy to help, especially with warranty problems. Reid's customer service is poor from previous experience.

You don't get much quality for a treadly under 1K, an eBike even less. Far better value here if you can stretch your budget.

Sounds like a road worthy certificate should be required before allowing this on the road?

        whats your problem?

        • -1

Nothing. I’m wheelie good. Thanks for asking

    • Not sure I agree that the linked bike is better value for an extra 700+del given the uncertainty around parts. For me, the Reid - which I can get professionally assembled and get 2 free services - seems better.

      • By the way, the claim on the website (for the step-thru at least) of "2 free services within the first 12 months" clashes with the info ^

Also, the step-thru is front hub, and the "unisex" is rear if that makes a difference to anyone.

Bought an e-bike from Reid Cycles, went over a bump and the rear wheel buckled. I sent customer support an e-mail to get a price for a replacement wheel and was told they didn't sell spare parts for it! For a $2,700 eBike! Not impressed! Avoid!

Please, please, please check other comments on old posts from Reid before making a purchase from them. Their customer service is horrid & they have a history of ripping people off.

Had this bike, the amount of time my rear wheel spokes broke is atrocious. The battery being in top of the wheel doesn't help either. Moved to frame battery ebike and have not been happier

    • Which one? Thanks
