Wiggle.co.uk 20% OFF Listed Price (£50 Min Spend) Expires 30 August

190
20LIST

Great deal sent to me from Wiggle.co.uk! They are currently running a special promotion for their Australian and New Zealand customers. Use coupon code 20LIST and you'll get 20% off "listed price" with minimum spend of 50 GBP, site-wide!

Do note that for some items they also have "sale price", which can be anywhere between 5% to 30% off the "list price". So For items that have sale price more than 20% less than the list price, the coupon code won't do anything (and they will warn you about it in the checkout page).

They also have a dedicated section on delivering to Australia. Note that other bikes/frames you can usually get free delivery for orders £50 or above (the minimum for this 20% off promotion anyway). They also take 20% off as we don't need to pay UK VAT, but depending on how much you are buying you might be subjected to GST and custom duty.

  • Compare prices. The standard prices at chainreactioncycles.com can be much lower.
CRC has free shipping to Aus for orders over $99.

Yeah but Wiggle sells a lot more than cycling stuff though.

They do? News to me … Oh I see, swimming and running. But you don't need much gear for that.

Use frugalrouleur.com . Add free Cycling price comparison site .

      • thanks troyww! Nice to see a simple uncluttered website that just does its job.

      • That site can be useful, but the sites it examines is fairly limited, and i've noticed it often misses certain entries.

But yeah, try it out anyway…but i usually find Wiggle to be the most competitive.

  • Excellent… Was going to order £150 worth of stuff next week anyway.W

  • EDIT: had commented on their pricing, but not sure i'm right, so just ignore that for now…

    • Thanks OP - just paid AUD 48.20 for this: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/abus-varedo-47-23cm-bike-d-lock/ (with some other stuff to take me over GBP 50) which is awesome cf the pricing here.

BTW i think at one stage the numbers i had included VAT - for a moment there i thought they had pre-emptively jacked their pricing, but no … though their pricing can jump around a bit.

  • Hmm.. not sure about this as a bargain… I just looked at some ASICS joggers and all but 1 were already 20% or more off.. so no point on the code is there? Maybe it was just the ones I was looking at.

    • That's right - if it's already at least 20% off their list price, then no benefit from the code in terms of pricing, though including the item might help you break through the GBP 50 threshold when getting other gear…

Is it a bargain? - i guess it depends on what you're getting. For me it was, esp when combined with their free shipping… the saving ended up being about 12.5% off their 'sale price' (not 'list price').

BTW they seem to use a relatively competitive exchange rate, so i paid in AUD as my credit card charges 3% on FX. The figures were about 1.2-1.3% conversion fee depending on which exchange rate i used (http://themoneyconverter.com/gbp/aud.aspx or http://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/ which gave slightly different numbers for some reason).

The attractive conversion (to me, not everyone) contrasts with my experience with Amazon: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/77318#comment-987248

  • I got stung a few days ago with the import tax after ordering a bike and had to pay customs another $200. :(

It was my own fault, but i did have a little moan to Wiggle that they could have made it a bit clearer.

Nice to see they've updated their website.

  • misunderstood.thanks

  • Just in time to buy my new Garmin Forerunner :D Makes it almost 10% cheaper than I can find it locally.
