According to 3camels, 2nd cheapest price this year excluding a very short stint at $160.30 mid April.

I bought one at $240 and generally have been happy with it, although primarily use it as a pressure cooker. In my experience it is pretty average as an air fryer, my Philips XXL does a much better job of crisping things up. If you already have an air fryer, I'd consider looking at just one of pressure cooker only options as they have a few more features and might be a little more suitable (e.g. yoghurt mode).

As per recitation's link, looks like Instant Brands are directly selling the Gourmet Crisp 8L for $199 at https://instantbrands.com.au/collections/instant/products/in…. Seems to be the same thing with a dark grey control panel and steam renamed to sterilise.

I hate to be “one of those people” but Cisco had, basically, this for $150 a while ago.

If you are a Costco member it is worth keeping an eye out for specials on InstantPots.

Thanks — lol… you made me look up if "Cisco" started selling instant pot.

Comes with an expensive support subscription and takes years to get basic bugs fixed

        • You aren’t wrong on that. Then they expect you to update the Operating system and reboot the device before they will even think about providing support.

      • Sorry, I meant Costco.

Worth calling Instant Brands if you live near a DFO with one in it. They have some stock and lines not currently available from their Amazon store, and they're also running a sale - $209.00 for the 5.7L Instant Pot Pro; $139.30 for the 3L Instant Pot Duo Plus.

  • Looks like it's back to about $240.

      Thanks, updated to expired.

  • Seems to be still available at that price from Instantbrands directly.

Get it while it's hot, our beloved pressure cooker is broke

      • Chapter 11, but it doesn’t look good. However, InstantPots are pretty much a cult item so it wouldn’t surprise me if another company took over that part of the company.

        • You know it's bad though, when Philips consumer electronics also doing it tough. Its bad for consumers because competition keeps things competitive.

          • @reactor-au: Rant / Don’t get me started on using interest rates to control inflation. What an absolute crock that is. Economists just use a bloody great mallet when we need a rapier. /Rant
