Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative with reasonable/comparable stabilisation (HyperSmooth 5.0)?
DJI action 3, but there are stock issues.
Cosmo action, i actually prefer it over gopro
R&D is very expensive and it is one of their biggest expense. There are some copy cat companies though that steal intellectual property and sell for less.
Which ones? Would love to buy cheaper from them.

DJI didn't even change the shape…shamelessly copied everything. Good luck with patent infringement lawsuits in China which overwhelming favour local companies.

@dealhunter52: Hate to tell you mate but unless DJI has actually stolen something, say, some firmware code that the GPH11 uses to assist with their stabilisation, or something else that's equally unique and protected, sticking a camera in a box doesn't equate to IP.
companies fake inflation
I see the same sort of opinions across different deals.
It's called capitalism. It's not just "companies fake inflation".
The price itself isn't that bad (especially on specials) it's their subscription scams that get everyone. They even encrypt video files and try to extort money from customers who try to use their videos.
I've managed to sign up using the Turkish Apple ID method.

I am checking DJI Action 3 regularly but no discounts like this, ebay seems mostly OOS.

mine came with one (it was from official gopro store though, although im pretty sure it was in the box

bought on 13/6/23 with delivery the faster delivery option ($6.95 as i dont have ebay plus).
Initial estimated delivery was 14-15 June but only seeing it posted today by the seller with estimated collection for 16 June.
This post should be updated to include the eBay discount price for non plus members also. It is 519.08 delivered. Quite a good price still.
