I bought these lights a couple of weeks ago, they give a terrible light. The warm white is more orange than it should be…ended up buying cheap wifi lights from Amazon so I could choose the colour we wanted

These bulbs are Soft White which is 2700K, pretty much the same kind of light that Halogen downlights would give.

Next one up would be Warm White at 3000K, my personal choice for the home

I believe you may have been looking for Natural White / Cool White bulbs which come in at 4000K, a good balance between office and home lighting.

After that is Cool Daylight at 5000K-6500K+, best choice for the office.

Always best to use the Colour Temperature in Kelvin to compare what kind of light you're getting.

      • I don't agree, both options I tried were terrible, but I guess you get what you pay for. We invested in Brightgreen downlights in our house which have a CRI of 95%, the light coming from them is significantly better. Cheap downlights and globes like these give off a really unnatural light. They are ok for a garage or an office.

These lights must have a CRI of below 85% as everything looks terrible. I've tried both warm white and cool white, which were the only two available at our supermarket.

        • Brightgreen have some very nice downlights, definitely in another league compared to these ones sold at Woolworths.

I'm curious, what model did you choose and what was the cost per bulb?

          Thanks

          • @Gorian4: They were installed 7 years ago, but their Loomi downlight was about $30-35 per downlight. Not one of them has died yet

            • @PhilToinby: I'm trying to find one's for less than $50 per downlight.

Can't fault them tho, long life, efficient power, great CRI, cool designs as well as simple designs for any space
