Drive them like you stole them! Also on sale is the Ferrari is people see value in buying the $500+ plastics.
The other two coming in at $217-219 is not bad for these kits. Can't see any all time low on Camels…

  • Hasnt the mclaren been like 149 before

    • not quite, at least according to the camels:
      https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B09BNYBN8B

Cheapest historically is $196, so while not the cheapest ever, it's not a mile away.

      • Camels only tracks Amazon.

It won't show you when it was $169 at Big W.

        $149 I don't remember seeing.

  • If anyone doesn't mind getting non-official lego bricks -

    LeMans - https://youmko.com/products/pre-orderonly-setcustom-84023-te…

The LeMans has light/power functions so it ships from a different place so can't combine shipping with below

    $61.53 + $25.92 shipping = ~$87.50

    F1 - https://youmko.com/products/yile-9926-mclaren-formula-1-race…

    $54.41 + $23.76 shipping = ~$58.40

    SP3 - https://youmko.com/products/only-setcustom-006-50003-ferrari…

    $74.33 + $35.64 shipping = $110

and they have coupons for 10% off all the time on their facebook/reddit.

I'm not affiliated with them at all, just hate the prices of Lego these days

Alot more info on alternate bricks here - https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/comments/lqdiar/the_starter_g…

    • These are straight-up pirated versions.

    • Yeah agree that rrp is over the top for the quality. I bought the porsche rsr and it was missing 5 pieces (which Lego delivered no questions asked). Over my entire childhood I never had a kit that was missing a piece.

  • I got the McLaren from previous Amazon $196 deal and enjoyed the build. Not fussed that it’s the incorrect livery. Also got the Peugeot for $196 from previous Target deal but haven’t unboxed yet.

Have purchased and built an AliExpress TCL Audi RS6. No missing pieces but fit is very tight and would struggle to dismantle to reuse pieces for other builds. Would potentially buy another one but only models that Lego don’t make and with view to only build once for display.

    • +1

The Peugeot was a good build! I really like the finished car too.
I have my McLaren hanging on the wall, I want to do the same as the Peugeot, but the engine cover falls off..

      • Ooh, nice. That’s good to hear about the Peugeot. I’m tossing up between the yellow Bolide or the Peugeot as my next build. My cave is too messy so the McLaren is just perched on the NAS at the moment! Don’t think I’ll be wall mounting any of mine. I’m clearing space to put in some shelving / IKEA-thing to place my models on.

        • +1

Yeah, I need to get some shelving, I have nowhere to put them now, I have one of the 4 hole Kalax things from Ikea, but it is way too small.
I have the Ecto-1, Deloran, Airbus heli, space shuttle, Ford GT, material handler and the Peugeot and Mac…

I had a lot of spare time on my hands lately haha.

  • The McLaren F1 is a nice model of a tractor

    N.B. I got one.
