Thomas George Footwear 40% off e.g. Wordsworth Cap Toe Oxfords $210, Turon Boots $238.80 Delivered @ Trimly

140

A bit of a lottery for which sizes still available, but for Goodyear welted leather shoes of this quality a very decent price.

Turon Men's Service Boots - Black Calf or Blue Suede (Freo) for $238.80
Barossa Men's Semi-Brogue Oxfords - Dark Brown or Light Brown $210
Wordsworth Men's Cap-Toe Oxfords - Dark Oak or Black $210
Bourke Men's Penny Loafers - Dark Brown or Black $210

Looks like it is free shipping and they are throwing in your choice of one Boot Black brand shoe polish or shell cordovan cream as a freebie.

Got a lot of good raps in previous OzB posts when first on sale back in March.

I got the Barossa Men's Semi-Brogue Oxfords in Light Brown back then when they were 28% off RRP +$10 shipping for a total $262 and even at that price would have to agree they are amazing quality/bang for buck.

Couldn't walk past adding a pair of the Wordsworth in Dark Oak at this price :-).

Barossa was true-to-size for me i.e. pretty much go with your normal UK size, unless you usually have particularly wide or narrow sizing.

Clicked in not expecting much but hot damn those turons got me tempted

Not a lot of sizes left, have been discounted for awhile (picked up a pair of the dark brown semi-brogue Oxfords a week ago). What has come into stock are the penny loafers in certain sizes and the boots.

Have also been watching for a while. They've been at the same discount price (28% + shipping) since March, with a limited number available.

The extra discount and free shipping seems to have happened very recently though (to $52 cheaper than what I paid in March for the Barossa) and a little more stock, esp. for the boots, but also for a few sizes in the other shoes.

Probably only one or so of each size for most of these, so I'd jump on it quickly if your size is still available.

      • Good point! I paid that 52 bucks more as well last week.

Great shoes. Have the Turon, Barossa and Bourke. Just added Wordsworth in dark oak.

  • Great price for entry level GYW dress shoes. To make them last longer get some topys put on the soles.

I'd class them as higher quality than entry level (definitely better than Thursdays for example), however the pricing most definitely is!

    • I'd also put them well above entry level, making the price even more of a steal.

Would be careful with topys as well, as some shoemakers and cobblers refuse to resole a GYW shoe if you've put a topy on them.

Have used topys on a few pairs of my GYW shoes, but would argue it's better in the long run to try to find a similar style with a Dainite or Vibram rubber sole option if you can, than to go the topy route.

      YMMV though.

I’ve never heard of this. Why would they care if has a topy on if they are resoling it?

Perhaps then it's time to find another cobbler, no?

  • Got the penny loafers. One of the founders is a mate of mine. Loves maths, loves his shoes.

  • Already got a shipping notice.

Pretty happy with that, as they took a while last time - although were worth the wait.

At this rate hoping they should be with me early next week :-).

    • Got my pair of Wordsworth in Dark Oak delivered today.

Maybe just a hint of burgundy colouring in them, which looks great.

Very, very happy for the price and with speed of delivery.

Wearing these today in preparation for my wedding (dance lessons after work) - great shoe.
