Yes if you hold onto the code for a few years people will pay silly money for it. Source: https://www.eneba.com/gb/store/all?page=1&regions[]=global&sortBy=PRICE_DESC&text=fortnite

      • There is no code. It's tied to the Xbox Console and is delivered digitally.

    • +1

The DLC is tied to the console and it gets delivered digitally to the console during the console setup and the DLC is attached to the Microsoft account that it's setup on. There is no code to be able to resell. You can't resell.

      "How to redeem

Your digital content will be delivered directly to your console during set-up; no codes required. All included digital content will be attached to the first Microsoft Account that redeems it."

      • Ohhhh wow so it's applied! First time I have seen that!

        • It's been the same with multiple bundles previously even back to the Xbox One X days.

          • @hollykryten: Dark Skully?

            • @jollyrogga: I don't know.

It's all from the Digital Direct feature which Microsoft introduced a few years ago.

              https://www.engadget.com/xbox-digital-direct-replaces-long-r…

It was even introduced on the Xbox One.

              https://www.gamespew.com/2020/06/how-digital-direct-works-on…

This is how Microsoft gets you. You get no game or DLC code to be able to resell. What i meant above when i said that it's tied to the console (which is wrong so i'm sorry because it's not actually tied to the console itself after redemption) i mean that the system detects that the DLC comes with the console and once redeemed you can use it on any console which is logged into the Microsoft account. But the DLC is initially bundled with and literally from the console itself. You can't separate any codes from the console bundle box to resell because there are no codes.

The content gets delivered onto your Microsoft account from the console itself during the initial first setup. That did away with console bundle code resales. So that stuffs you up some times if you hope to resell codes and there is none.

As i said before. There are no DLC codes. Those DLC get automatically delivered digitally to whichever Microsoft account that the console is initially setup on. So no ability to resell any code because there is none.

It says so on the Gilded Hunter bundle console product page.

      "How to redeem

Your digital content will be delivered directly to your console during set-up; no codes required. All included digital content will be attached to the first Microsoft Account that redeems it."

  • Tempted by that new Carbon Black 1TB S. One of these look pretty good to travel with.

What are the opinions on the costs of games relying on the Xbox store, do good deals come up?
(not so keen on XGP, I slow-burn through games)

    • If it's like like playstation usually 30% more expensive vs disc

    • +1

Good deals for older games show up all the time. I usually use this to see the current discounts - https://xbdeals.net/au-store

Games can be had for cheaper if you're willing to change regions to another country (Argentina and Turkey I think), have a poke around here to find out more.

    • Unfortunately those are all the base Xbox Series S and nothing else, and not the Gilded Hunter Bundle release. So those don't come with the extra DLC. This is basically a limited edition bundle console release with the fancy artwork on the box.

This is the one you needed to link to but it is currently $399 direct from Microsoft.

Not that many retailers have it currently for $399.
