  This is the only game I can think of where systemically it is set up in av way that makes it relly difficult to be toxic.

  The community is small but super active, and the devs are widely regarded as the gold standard of what every game dev company should strive to be.

  There’s a good amount of replayability and there’s new content dropping in a few days too.

    New season was released yesterday on PC!

    This is one of my favourite games ever, and I always come back to it even after a few years of playing it.

    As you've alluded to, the Devs try to be very ethical in their design practices and monetisation.

    Some key selling points for people who don't own the game are:
    - The only paid 'DLCs' are cosmetic and have no bearing on gameplay. (I buy every DLC just because I feel very happy supporting the Devs.)
    - All new actual gameplay content (ie. Seasons and the season pass) are completely free for everyone who owns the base game.
    - Devs are very active and have a good level of community engagement. There are regular in-game events as well as 'seasons' that are released every ~5 months or so to keep things fresh/engaging.

      I don’t think I’ve ever seen a community band together to actively praise a developer in todays climate where every studio goes out of their way to screw their players…

      Its sorta a strange feeling when there’s community feedback about something people aren’t happy about, and then to see it go from an issue to being addressed, mitigated or completely overhauled and then fixed in a few days/weeks is still strange sight every time.

      Additional points I always ramble on about to people

      • No paid season pass - only a free option where you unlock seasonal cosmetics.
      • All seasonal content is available to unlock down the line again, nothing is ever vaulted forever to create artificial scarcity. There’s no mechanics where you’re roped into playing.
