Can anyone commit on Lenovo laptop battery life?

    • +1

x230 will last 6 to 7 hours internet use.

      • Same with my E320

  • Only 769.00 without the 3G and screen size upgrade!

    • +1

True. Although I really want the 1600x900 upgrade as 1366x768 on a 15.6inch is a torture. You are able to add just the 1600x900 option (just $11 more) all the way into the cart without adding the $110 wireless broadband option though (despite saying so on the screen upgrade section).

      • Best $11 you'll ever spend.

    • It's a torture to read text or using MS Office with the 1600x900 resolution. Also there was noway for me to get the screen upgrade without the 3G option a couple of months ago. I've even rung up the sale people.

  • Why wouldnt u choose wireless N?

    (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 (2x2 BGN & BT4)?

edit - all good was a diff model

I have to say the new ThinkPad EDGE S430 quite a good buy as well.

    • Intel Core i7-3520M Processor
    • Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
    • 14.0" W HD+ (1600 x 900)
    • NVIDIA N13P-GLP (~GT620m)
    • 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
    • 128GB SSD
    • 4 Cell Battery 48.8Wh
    • ThinkPad a/b/g/n Wireless BT Combo (2x2 ABGN & BT4.0)
    • AU$934.15 delivered

    Also consider S430's have:

    • Thunderbolt, USB3 and HDMI1.4 port
    • 1.8kg puts it into light-weight category
    • "Claimed" 6 hours battery life (not sure how they do it from 4 cells)

At least for me I think it would be a better buy.

    • From the last generation, apparently the 14" HD+ screens weren't quite up to scratch compared to the 15" HD+. But I suppose one must tolerate it if they need the resolution in a smaller package.

  • I just used it on this system and after discount it was $692.75, not bad either if you only need an i5. It said it already used an ecode, but it let me add this one too, I just upped the RAM.
