Amzon.de also got pretty good price for some high end Sennheiser headphones.

  • Good price, but fakes do exist for this model. I bought one that was defiantly fake from eBay for a similar price :(
This is Amazon, it's much more reliable. :)

EDIT: I think this deal has expired anyway, EUR 214,80 is the price now.

Its shipped AND sold by Amazon so definitely pretty safe. I'd be more cautious if it was a 3rd party seller

    • The price displayed is VAT (tax) inclusive, it's 180.5euro exclude VAT and 30.05Euro for UPS express shipping

I received mine already, it's not fake and I enjoyed it since this morning, sound is very clear compare to my $90 Shure

      • is this the newer model of IE8

I currently have the Ultimate ears Triple Fi 10

        would this be an upgrade?

        • i wouldn't call it an upgrade both are top of the line
but if u wanna try a high end dynamic driver IEM, then go for it

        • Yes, but not very big upgrade from the IE8, some reviews said the main difference is the looking :)

IE80 would be quite different from Triple Fi 10 as it's single dynamic driver, some ppl commented about IE have better soundstage. Sorry I'm still a newbie in headphones cannot give you much recommendations, maybe you'd better to check the threads on head-fi.org

      • trust me u will enjoy more after a month
anyway do u have to pay for express shipping? can u just pay for the regular shipping?

        • I think I only came across one shipping option but not 100% sure. I can't read German and didn't use Google Translate, just completed the order depending my experience of shopping from Amazon US ;)

Yeah I will be cooking it for a while!

        • Just bit the bullet and got a pair… its easily 200AUD cheaper than anywhere else… every if I dont like it, I can easily sell it to get my money back

  • " trust me u will enjoy more after a month"

what do you mean? so its worth buying?

amazon de doesnt have regular shipping to australia.. its weird how they charged me 40 euro for a 12 kg vaccum cleaner but its 30 euro for a tiny pair of earphones… makes no sense

    • High end dynamic driver IEM shows significant sign of improvement from "burn-in"

      • I have both the ie8 and trifi 10.. I wouldn't say the ie8 is better but they just have different sound.. I think to put it in an easier way to understand..The ie8 is heavy and the trifi10 is lighter

      • I can agree with the "Burn in" effect, but to be honest I'm not sure the physical speakers change that much (looked at a chart via Google once). I think the only thing burning in, is my ears.

That said, better sound is better sound.

  • I can't believe people would pay that much for earphones! :O

    • Thats cos you still use stock ibuds, or Beats if your a serious 200 dollar audiophile of the masses.

    • +1

@uthmani Lol these are high end "Normal" earphones. For higher-end custom fit ones expect $1000+
But once you hear the difference, even if you're not an audiophile, you can't go back.

its not that much considering the sound quality you get

considering I catch public transport (between 1-2 hrs a day), its def worth investing in something better than those trashy earphones apple sells

    • I agree, one thing that holds me back from buying expensive earphones is the off chance that the plug gets bent or something and then only one earphone works like it should…

  • I would love to buy these but I'm not sure it's worth the jump from my UE700's. I understand the quality will be better, but I'm not sure if it's $250 better :/

    • +1

Wow you got the UE 700 for free?

    • I don't know I use UE700's most of the time but last night tried my UE TF-10's, the triple.fi's sound so much better but they just don't fit my ear well enough so I'm probably going to pass them (PM if interested) so close to pulling the trigger the only problem I have is the over the ear fit. Do they have memory wire around the ears or just normal cable? I think normal cable would be more comfortable.

I think I might give these a go and as said above pass them on if I'm not happy.

This earphone is cheaper on the Italian Amazon site:
    http://www.amazon.it/Sennheiser-504771-IE-80-Auricolare/dp/B…

    Price: EUR 175.08 without VAT
    Shipping to Australia: EUR 26.91
    Total: EUR 201.99

    • thanks for the headsup…

just cancelled the amazon de order and re-ordered with amazon.it..

      just saved 12 aud

      thanks

  • Seriously expensive headphones. Better have some seriously good quality.

  • ohh!got the same price line with w4 and now it crashed into half that pirce, amazed!

  • where are they made in? the last sennheiser i bought was made in germany, but i hear they have moved somewhere else

  • Dammit YTS… I really like my UM3X, hope these don't make them redundant.
Too good a price not to toy with 'em for a little while.

  • Thanks for the heads up.

Great price for these so I placed an order with Amazon.

    Due for delivery monday.
