use case? if tv or pc video may need to consider latency. it's the reason I went with the less popular choice of micro usb equipped Sennheiser PXC 500 ii paired with an avantree BT transmitter/receiver plugged into TV

Had to stretch the budget, but I hope it was worth.
You're close to being able to afford a Bose QC45, which are pretty much a "standard" noise cancelling pair of headphones. They're $345 at JB, HN, Amazon if you can stretch the budget.
Another alternative is the Sony WH-1000XM4, which can also be had around this price, not sure if available right now, but deals on them come up regularly here.
