I was holding out for $4 profit but realised today I actually need the data in the next month.

    Thanks nocure.

    • +1

Just buy 2 of these, $5 winning.

      • +1

        But that’s a $20 outlay.

    • My Boost SIM expired last night and now I have no data.

Going to get a couple now.

    Hooooooooooold

    • +6

dollar cost avg it buy now buy later

  • Hey, I just bought the 1 year plan. Can I activate this one as soon as it comes in the mail and then switch to the 1 year plan when I'm 20ish days into this one so that I'm still activating the 1 year within the 30 days of buying it (which was yesterday).

    I appreciate in any help!

    • +1

Activating both on the same number? You might have to port out but I've read that some people have been able to without porting by contacting boost.

      • Yep, both to the same number. I'm on a different provider atm so I would actually be porting into the first boost plan but trying to keep the number when I activate the 1 year.

  • +1

Am I able to use these to top up and existing service? = I bought 3 accidently

    • +8

Being scammed by yourself is the best — especially when the unexpected profit rolls in

    • Port out and then in again is easiest. Although you’ll be sacrificing days if you activate them all within 30 days which is required for the cash back.

      • Does anyone know which is the cheapest service to port to so that can port back to Boost? I can't remember if you can port to the $2 Vodafone Sims with no credit?

        • +2

believe Telstra $2 is the only one you can activate without credit. VF definitely cannot

    • How did you get 3 accidentally. I couldnt get a 2nd one legitimately. To be used 2 months since the last one..

Even with a new name, number, card. Maybe the same address is causing it to fail?

Somehow people are getting heaps of these??

      • exit the page and click through the link again

    • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions

make sure you get the cashback

  • +3

i miss those $30 profit per sim Amaysim deals back in the days…

  • +6

Don't trust cashrewards nor boost mobile. You may not get the rebate back! I bought a SIM last month following the proper steps and fulfilled all the conditions for a rebate. Because they lost the tracking (which always happened), now they reject my claim. Shame on them. Just be careful of their marketing tricks.

    • -8

Do trust cashrewards nor boost mobile.

I ran this statement through ChatGPT and got this reply — I understand where you are coming from, but it’s where you’re going that has me a little worried. Does anybody know what that’s supposed to mean? I did try applying my high-school logic skills, of course, but I think my head exploded from the mental gymnastics within a warped space-time reality distortion field. Maybe it’s time to go back to school and get a little higher…

This, Cashrewards put in a missed claim for my last transaction with boost, then quietly declined it. When queried they now say “your purchase with Boost Mobile has not been attributed to Cashrewards”, that’s it - no recourse, no way to follow up with Boost, and Cashrewards just stop answering tickets. You can follow all the terms and conditions but too bad if you’re one of the ones Boost/Cashrewards have decided to peg back things to make a profit (and no, since the transaction wasn’t attributed to Cashrewards doesn’t mean I got the offer from another channel)

Dodgy as from Boost and/or Cashrewards.. wonder who is getting the cash..

      • +2

Absolutely the same case I have. Cashrewards just replied me. Boost mobile rejected me, not them. Boost mobile made the final decision but they gave me no reason. This is absolutely marketing scam! Avoid boost mobile!

I will warn you every time I see this marketing scam in future.

No free lunch. Why does boost run this promotion very frequently? They bait you a few times, then refuse your claim one time and get back all the so-called profits. Easy.

    • I do find that the nano-SIM size is easier to swallow. But you’re right — they all eventually come out the other side virtually intact

    • +3

Play it right and it's actually many free lunches, literally

    @TopCashback AU Rep
Come save the day and offer us $4+ profit Boost Mobile Sims like Cashrewards previously did, this is your chance to gain a +1 Respect from the Ozbargain Community.

    • Does the government also get respect for handing out free money?

  • I've bought a few of these before. Will I get in trouble of having too many mobile numbers?

    • -1

It’s a free country. Well, it used to be, at least. I think…

    • No

  • Hi if i have bought before do i need a new email address to get the cashback again thanks.

    • +5

Free mobile for a month and they pay me? I'm in.

      • They take your money first then give you back over 3 months with 25% of interest.

However, if you order a few, it might be worth the effort. Some also make use of these sims for other benefits.

      • +3

It has been using it to replace my home nbn for a while

We all know that nbn is shitty and expensive. Thats what I aim to save

    • +4

Is this what we're doing now, as humans?

It’s honest work. After a long, hard day activating SIMs, I really could do without the judgement and lecturing

    • +4

How come every time there's a cashback deal like this there's always a smartarse harping on about "aLl thE EFforT"?? Like what effort? What exactly do you think is involved?

It probably took longer for me to write this comment than clicking through the deal.

  • I bought 1 last month and one this month. Do I need to activate this under my name or can I hand out another Sim to my friend ?

    • Hand it out. It needs to be activated.

    • Treat it as a regular sim. Activate by the due date to qualify for cashback.

      • Hi, how long will I get the sim after ordering? Thanks

        • likely within 3-4 days depending where you are.

  • Activate by July 3rd?

    • 30 days from purchase

  • +1

I currently have a pre paid boost mobile - if I buy this sim do I need to port out to another Telco I.e Telstra then port back in?

  • Nightmare getting old number transferred with Boost now , will go back to the old port out with cheap sim I think.

  • How do these work with LTE laptops?

  • Can I purchase a SIM card on behalf of a friend? The SIM card purchase process requires personal details such as name and date of birth. I'm curious to know if the same person who buys the SIM card should be the only one to activate and use it, or if others can also utilize it.

    • +1

You can activate it with different details.

  • I bought my last one the evening of May 23 and activated it this morning. Just inside the 30 days. I wonder how they track this?

    • The same way they track if you cancel or return an order, i.e. the retailers report back to Cashrewards.

  • Hi,
How long will I get the SIM after ordering? Thanks

    • About a week in the post for me. And I'm in Sydney!

      • Thank you so much

  • +1

Does anyone know when the next batch of boost cashback is due to be approved?

    • +1

Around about now. Usually happens third week of the month.

    • +2

Just checked and April's have been approved today @Quarter Pounder

  • -5

I wonder when Telco's are going to wise up and shitlist people abusing cheap SIM deals, porting in and out and using the same number, because thats what i would have done by now

Seems like some people here do it every month, i genuinely dont get it, all the mucking about

If people are that clever, why arent they channeling it into something more worthwhile…

  • SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG

We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later.

    • Try changing something. Your address (even just how you spell/abbreviate "Street"), mobile number, payment card, etc.

Despite the recharge options removing the $30 plan, this still activates as a $30 plan with 45 GB (20+25).

    • +1

Nice. I'm yet to activate my next batch coming up after the price change.

    • Thanks for this info as I will activate one next weekend. I'll expect for 45GB instead of standard 20GB.

      • +1

Old $30 SP still received 45GB upon activation in August.
