Cheapest Way to Purchase The Apple iPhone 14 Pro 512GB (Sydney) ?

I'm looking to purchase the Apple iPhone 14 Pro 512GB as a gift & would like to figure out the cheapest method of purchasing it. Not sure whether to get a bunch of discounted JB Hi-Fi Gift Cards from HCF store or cashback on Shopback, or if its better getting some Apple Gift Cards & purchase from the Apple Store direct? Potentially waiting for some sort of discount on gift cards?

Can Apple Gift Cards be used at JB Hi-Fi or are they specific to the Apple store?

I need to receive it by 28th June 2023.

Current Only Prices Are:

Apple iPhone 14 Pro 512GB

Amazon: $2147
Officeworks: $2147 (Sold Out Online)
Harvey Norman: $2148
JB Hi-Fi: $2149
David Jones: $2149
The Good Guys: (Sold Out)
Bing Lee: $2199
Apple Store: $2249

Heres what I'm thinking,

  1. Purchase 22 x $100 Him or Home Gift Cards at Woolworths with the 10% off offer they have at the moment (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/782511). That would leave me with a total value of $2200 in Him Gift Cards, costing me only $1980.00
  2. Convert them all to JB Hi-Fi Gift Cards in store at JB Hi-Fi.
  3. Use the 22 x $100 JB Hi-Fi Gift Cards to purchase the Apple iPhone 14 Pro 512GB for $2148 (after a Harvey Norman Price Match).

That should leave me with a total cost of $1935 for the Apple iPhone 14 Pro 512GB & $52 left to spare in JB Hi-Fi Gift Cards - anyone see any issues with that?

Gracey is a girl's name, she'd be committing fraud if she bought the Him Gift Cards.

    • Purchase 5 x $500 & 1 x $150

      …..

That would leave me with a total value of $2150 in Him Gift Cards, costing me only $1935.00

you can just buy ultimate home cards at $100 each..covers JB hi fi no need to ocnvert

looks like the largest denomination you can buy at a discount is $100

  • Save by getting the 128/256GB version instead?

Live for a year, then sell it and buy a 512GB one on run out/barely used?

Or buy a 13/52 iP13P instead and live until you have to replace that!

Note: As the iP14P is not easily serviceable like the iP14, so a iP15 or 16 may be the best option, if you can wait another year or three to move over.

Probably for a colleague as a housewarming gift

Damn, can we be friends? Can't fathom spending $2k as a gift even if it was a SO, especially a phone

FBM … Ideally as close to half RRP, stock photo of the sealed box and PayID to expedite the interstate transaction.

Find this item the cheapest…what a novel concept. Someone should create an entire bargain hunting website around this idea!

why do you need it for the 28th June? so you can claim 3 days of depreciation this financial year?

    • Its for a gift, I won't be able to claim anything.

  • $2k for a phone let alone it being a gift yikes amazing people need that much storage… I would buy it through apple then you can open and use it and if they hate it return it for store credit.

Buy Timezone credits and then win the jackpot 760 times in a row to redeem tickets for an iPhone 14. Good luck.

Or alternatively best deal was probably Coles 10% discounted MC > Ultimate 10% discounted GC > Officeworks price beat on cheapest accepted grey stock.
