Qantas / American are cheaper sometimes.

July Dates: (usually Delta)
Depart from 11 July
Return from 23 July

July - November
Depart/return (almost) anyday for $1200

Blackout Dates
- late September to early October

November/December Dates (from what ive seen)
Depart before 28 November
Return before 6 December

Far out! Just booked qantas flights two weeks ago for $2100 and now they are $1350!

They tell me to cancel the old ones, pay them $500 cancellation fee and book the new ones - saving me $250.

Whatever you do, do not do it in that order. You'll be screwed if prices jump up after cancelling.

Nah, I am staying put. Qantas do not know their head from their behinds.
I called again and this time got different advice. That my tickets are non refundable and while credit sans $225 can be issued, it will take 24 hours.
They advised no restrictions on using the said credit but the website says that it can only be used on a higher fare ticket. (Website also says that cancellation for a refund is $500 but the second agent disagreed).

Too much confusion and conflicting information.

I see Air Canada as the cheapest with below $1000 round trip fares

    • +1

Yeah air canada is cheaper if you dont mind stopping in vancouver

Same with fiji airways (stops in nadi)

Yes, but you have to fly Air Canada. They are the Jetstar of full service airlines. Lost our bags and made it so difficult to chase we had to give up.

    • Arguably a better way to avoid LAX TSA - You pass security in Vancouver before flying essentially a domestic flight to LAX.
