Garmin Nuvi 2350 GPS Navigator $50 at DSE (in Store Only)

710

It may not be a latest one, but $50 for a decent 4.3" GPS, I think it's a good deal.

Liverpool NSW has two. But both were 'repaired' stock.

  • -4

most likely pricing error, and dse will probably not honor it

  • Price is correct- has any store got stock though?

    • Darwin 0800 has stock. Be good if you know someone up there.

      • +19

catch-22. you'd need the navigator to get there.

      • +1

Dick does Dick all in Darwin stores. always post stock on the website but never actually have anything. They never get back to you about a click and collect and they never ever pick up the phone.

  • And i just bought a Garmin Nuvi 50 for $88, is this one better than that? does this come with free lifetime maps like the Nuvi 50?

  • +5

No lifetime map updates for this 2350 model (released Sept 2010). Only the 2350LM (lifetime maps) and the 2350LMT (lifetime maps + traffic) came with lifetime map updates.

A much better deal would be to buy the 5" Garmin Nuvi 50 with lifetime map updates and free delivery for an extra $38 at JB hifi ($88)

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/78047

1 free map update is also available within 90 days of first acquiring satellites while driving with your device.

After that Garmin charges $99.99 for one update or $189.99 for lifetime map updates.

NOTE: As per previous deal, bonus Garmin S1 Golf Watch still applies to this deal (pending stock availability)

    • +3

agreed. wiser to spend $38 more now and save money in the long run for map updates.

    • +2

      Lifetime, seriously?
Provided that your new GPS lasts a "lifetime" , do you actually think that you will be inclined to use outdated hardware in say 10 years time?
My GPS is over 4 years old with 2007 maps and already I want a new one because the technology is dated.

      • +2

It's lifetime of the device….not the lifetime of the owner. Thats still gets you a few years support out of the device rather than the one and only map update in the first 90 days.

      • +1

not the hardware but your map is outdated. GPS with outdated map is useless like a smoke detector without the battery. lifetime free map updates means you don't have to spend fortune on map updates for the next 3 years or so.

        • +3

Hardly useless, most roads don't change.

        • Speak too soon mate. New roads and bridges constantly popping up.

        • .

        • +1

Technology? Maps? My 2007 HP 312 GPS with 2008 maps still has a way more common sense pre-installed when calculating the routes comparing to my 2012 Navman and 2011 Aldi's one with the latest 2012 maps.

        • True.
But when it changes, you will feel the pain.
Last time I went to Canberra, I noticed that some roundabouts have been converted to interchanges.
That is, GPS with old map will tell you to stay at right lane to turn right when you really need to keep left to get out of the interchange and then turn right. When you noticed, it was too late. And 10 minutes of your time got wasted. Does 10 minute of your time worth the extra $38 (lifetime update), sure!!
I learned lessons the hard way.

        • One of my biggest gripes is that route calculation on many of these devices are rubbish.

        • You're kidding, right? The roads in Brisbane change weekly

      • What are you talking about? My GPS is 6 years old and I have no problems with it at all, I have the latest maps and firmware, I enter where I want to go and it takes me there. What is your old hardware limiting you to do? Do the new units allow you to facebook and order pizza?

        • Poor speech synthesis and impractical routing are the 2 biggest negatives. I guess these are software based issues and due to the fact that it was a "cheapo brand"(Garmin) when I got it, so it was never a really great GPS. I seldom use it, only maybe 2-3 times a year when I'm going into "unfamiliar territory", otherwise I'd replace it for $50 in a heartbeat. Prices are excellent now.

    • Very nice, i can't beleive it's so cheap, for a 5" screen, Garmin brand, spoken street names, advanced lane guidance, and lifetime map updates!

      • It's actually only basic lane guidance unfortunately(shows up on the top corner of the map). It's still a great deal though. I bought one.

        • Wrong. I used this today and it gives you the split screen view too. Great little GPS device

  • The Good Guys are selling this for $99, but despite extra features, I went with the free maps offer instead.

  • Has anyone done any direct comparison between Nuvi 2350 and Nuvi 50?? It appears that the 2350 has alot more features than 50 but is a much older model than 50.

  • +1

I bought one of these, Sale Vic store had 7 in stock as of friday (minus the one I bought plus a mate got one). For $50 you cant go wrong…basically the price of a Melways. I updated the maps straight away, very straight forward and quick.
At $50….If it only last 12 months I still think its a bargain.

  • +2

pfft… sif pay for Garmin map updates ;)

  • LOL GPS sale in-store only

    "you will never find us…muhahahaha"

P.S. This is a very good unit irrespective of the price

  • Does the Nuvi 2350 have USA maps as the Nuvi 50 does?? Can't determine from the site….

    • DSE says no……

  • I gave up on DsE
They are always out of stock on deals they advertise
It seems they just are happy with number of visitors filling their buckets and are unable to get the product
    This is a scum
I never liked DSE for their overpriced things. You come to the store and leave with nothing. Now I just see same picture with their online store.

I just ignore DSE deals as spam

    • they never advertised this deal, its an older model - why would you assume they're going to have ample stock of something a few years old?

    • Scums sent scam's spams. Oh they rhyme!

  • Damn… Just bought a new Garmin Nuvi 50 from JB-HiFi. This GPS has better features and a lot cheaper… But honestly I can't find any stock around my place so that makes me feel a bit better.

  • Menai Central Low Stock (call store on 02 95439687) - I am not getting one but thought if someone else near Menai/Bankstown wants one give it a try ;-)

  • Got one at Tweed although they failed to tell me on the phone it was a refurb….. grrr. Anyways as I was already there decided just to get it

  • One ex-display unit at Sunbury, Victoria.

    .

  • Does anyone know how to keep up-to-date safety camera for free?

    • See neos comment above

      • Where?

        • Google "neos comment on ozbargain is gpsunderground"

Also, got my GPS watch combo, Thanks OP.

        • Good deal. Couldn't find stock of both items.

        • That's gotta be the best deal.

  • Got pawned in innaloo. One ex display remaining and suddenly itbis not for sale due to lack of components

  • +1

Not related to this offer but I was happy to see Tom Tom release a 6 inch GPS this year. Only one more inch to go and these will be the same size as the inbuilt screens on the dash.

    • +3

But its more of a hazard as its on the windscreen, and will obstruct your view.

      • Yep. MirrorLink can't come quick enough and when it does it will make these things obsolete altogether.

        • Every year, these will be obselete by……… maybe one day

    • +1

      5 inch->6 inch
      Size does matter!!

    • -2

Or, only one more inch until it is comparable with my manhood.

  • I have the widescreen Tom Tom and it's mounted over the speedo on my Hilux.

    • +4

From the way most Hilux owners drive, I don't doubt that at all….

  • Thanks Yong, bought the 2360 ex demo + watch for $50 after a bit of haggling minus bracket.

Just ebayed the watch for 100.00, now im stokd with my gps

    • 2360 for 50 is a good deal. That model takes a charging holder though- slightly more expensive than the normal ones.

      • yeah youre right, the charging holder for a geniune is 30 inc delivery. so not so bad and not worried about the traffic receiver that was missing either .

  • This deal may as be marked as Sold Out.

    • Its not sold out.

      • +1

A neg for advising its not sold out?

Won't someone think of the children, honestly negging for that lol

        • It was about the principle. An eye for an eye, as Gandhi used to say.

  • Thanks for the heads up

One left plus display unit at Echuca

  • whats the cheapest Garim i can buy (and how, online or deal at a real store)with BT….. legit map updates a bonus

  • 5 left in sale and 14 in bairnsdale as of this afternoon!

  • Used to have a Garmin, it is still in the Mrs's car, somewhere. Good unit (the Garmin, I mean, though the Mrs is pretty good as well).
Just did 2 days in Syd, navigated only by the smartphone. Unbelievably good. Updates maps automatically. Feel sorry for anyone selling GPS units.

    • Not everyone requires the all in one solution (not talking about the missus here)

  • Got the last one this morning at Nambour QLD. Thanks!

  • Nearly down to the price of a refidex!
