  I do like the look of this, but I'd like to see a manual or more detailed specs. Is a RAID card necessary? Is it possible to use plain SATA for those of us who want to use ZFS?

    I just ordered one. There is an email address on the bottom of the site, I flicked them a few questions and the owner (Mark) responded with the answers I needed.

  The unit has a backplane that requires a raid connection, you can use a pcie x2 option for a fraction of the price of a raid card if you dont use SAS drives, and just want windows to manage it

    I guess if the raid card can support JBOD that'd work.
