Blockout Roller Blinds supply and install in Melbourne?

Hi all, does anyone have recommendations for a cheap but reliable supplier (and preferably installer) for blockout roller blinds in Melbourne?

I used https://www.diyblinds.com.au in the past. Can highly recommend them and the roller blinds were incredibly easy to install. I'd consider myself a mediocre handyman and put 5 of them up without any issues on my own.

Good quality too. We had blinds installed by a local company prior to that in SA. At almost double the cost for less blinds, the quality of the blinds were worse than what we got via DIY Blinds. Ordered a combination of blockout and sheer, split blinds for balcony access.

They have good guides on their site about measuring and determining the type of blinds you want. As well as installation guides.

    • The issue is the house has steel beams pretty much everywhere, so I'd rather have someone else install them.

Edit: actually it seems they can do the installation as well, I'll get a quote then, thanks.

      • Could always order them, then put an ad up on AirTasker or Fiverr to get someone to install?

Are the window frames wooden? Generally the brackets will be mounted to the flat front of the window frame, or the inside depending on what style you choose.

  • I recently installed about 20 roller blinds from blindsonline.com.au (Tuiss) on a steel-framed home with timber architraves (and literally today another half dozen in my workplace to timber frames). I had a couple arrive faulty but they were very quick to replace. I was able to hang them on steel frames with no prior experience. And value-wise they were on the money

  • Hey OP, let us know how you go with them or whoever else.

    Thanks

Small business run by a hard working fellow. Personalised service and very competitive prices. Used his services twice and he did not disappoint

    • I'll have a look, thanks

  • Update: I think I'll go with a local installer working under the jimsblinds.com.au franchise. I'm waiting for some info from them before making the final decision, but 99.9% I'll go with them.

    • How'd it end up going?

Very happy with jimsblinds, but keep in mind it's a franchise, so YMMV.

  • i used this business based on the gold coast, I am pretty sure they will ship to you. Good prices and knowledge.
