    zero
    .

  • Nothing. In fact, I'm trying really hard to get away from that mentality. Teachers are terrible at having personal Officeworks stashes under the guise of 'it's tax deductible' (especially when the school readily supplies us with supplies (if you simply ask for them…)

      Fraud?

No not fraud, they simply want francier stuff but omit that the fundamentals for the job are readily supplied.

    New learjet

  • Ear buds… Because I genuinely need them and do use them purely for work

Also (not a purchase but) … Some tax deductible donations

Don't think I'd buy something purely for the tax deduction if not needed

Just bought a new leather satchel for my laptop. At $290, it was conveniently under the $300 threshold, so thank you very much ATO.

    • I cancelled my Acrobat subscription because it was no longer under $300.

    • where did you buy it? why does it have to be under 300? ty

      • The Qantas shop has a sale atm on Pierre Cardin leather bags so I got one of those. Even got 1000 points back too.

$300 is the max for bags if you want to write it off in one year.

  • Another high yielding Merc!

The uhhh Australian government consulting arm of a large financial services company.
Got a good deal on it

  • I don't really understand the logic behind buying something that you use in the last week of the financial year, or the last day of the financial year and then claiming it.

It is going to look dodgy, better off buying in January and not making it so obvious.

Generally if you are buying stuff all around the year and doing it legitly, then you never find yourself in the situation…

    • No one said anything about being illegal, please report yourself to the ato

  • Tesla. But technically didn’t buy it and took out an NL.
