These cameras have issues with internal mechanisms. Works fine initially but eventually the camera is unable to rotate correctly, and tends to get stuck.

    • Interesting, is that with all models? or specific.

      • Not sure on others but I have issues with this one.
The other one is more expensive so would think better components perhaps.

    • Hi,
If your Reolink camera is with a problem, you are welcome to contact Reolink support team for troubleshooting. Here is the link: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new/

I concur with @TN007. I have 2 of this exact model. One of them has had an issue since day 1 in returning exactly back to the home position after auto-tracking movement. Sometimes it over-rotates by almost 90 degrees (eg pointing to a wall). This is obviously a problem in trying to detect subsequent movement. I contacted Reolink support who were very responsive and got me to try out 2 firmwares but it still didn't solve the problem. They offered a refund/credit and a generous discount for another model, but that would still put me out of pocket so I am using that particular camera in a static mode. The other one I have had no problems at all.

      • I had exactly the same experience as eddomak - same issue (doesn't return after tracking, a few months later it won't turn at all, even in manual mode). Support was responsive, but seems there is a major design flaw with this. I was also offered a discount, but all i want is a working camera!
I have a RLC-511 too and it also has issues - it power cycles after heavy rain and remote connectivity is very spotty.
I really like reolink, i just wish the quality was better.

  • Rep, any deals on the TrackMix PoE?

  • Hi,
This model is with insufficient stock, when it is with enough stock, we may start a promotion for it, stay tuned.

  • Drives me nuts the wifi version is so much more then the poe version.

Rep, will this version of the trackmix be coming to Australia?

    • +1

      Yes, stay tuned!

  • Is this battery powered?

    • Nope, it's a WiFi camera.

      • +3

What has that to do with power? Is it battery powered, POE or mains? 🙂

        • Wired I think, then there is another model that you can use a solar panel

    • No battery. It's powered via a 12V 1A power supply from mains. As far as I can see, it doesn't have a PoE option

      • Thanks.

  • Does it work with Reolink NVR, or trigger to record?

    • It can work with a Reolink or 3rd party NVR. It can also store footage on an FTP server, record locally on an SD card, or using Reolink's (subscription) cloud service.

It can record full-time, or trigger to record on any combination of motion, person or vehicle detection.

  • Just saw this and stopped pulling the trigger. Any comments guys?
