You know what patagonia is about right?

      • -3

charging $200 for recycled plastic bottles?

        • +5

Yup, and it's a good thing.

BTW, who in the entire world expects "fleece" to be natural these days? Would take a shearer circle to assume it's wool.

@pizzaguy: my issue is the same issue i have with companies calling plastic 'PU leather'

          • @pizzaguy: i try to avoid polyester clothes these days to reduce the amount of microplastics that end up in our drinking water from washed clothing

No? What's it about? Genuine question

I'll stick to my kmart $20

    • +7

You aren't their target audience haha. This is to go against the funding the child labour and fast fashion waste ;-)
Alternatively, just buy the kmart one second hand for $5

I'll stick to my retro Kmart fleece

one hundred and sixty five dollarydoos…

  • what on earth is wrong with this website

    • prolly greenwashing has issues when the sun don't shine & the wind don't blow mabbe 🤔

  • This thing has next to no wind resistance (I have the same one but in a different colour) not suitable for the chilly outdoor Melbourne winter.

    • +1

      Melbourne puffer goes over it

    • A windstopper jacket onto it and with two layers you're flexible and fully insulated.

  • Has anyone bought it yet

  • 10% off with sign up, not sure if it works on sale items. Just saw the banner and wanted to share.

Wild Earth has a pretty amazing sale on right now too, for people interested in this kind of brand and gear.

Patagonia is heads and shoulders above many companies in terms of both quality of products and pay their fair share to their workers while minimizing impact on the planet. Yes they are expensive, but some of their gear I've bought have lasted EASILY 10x longer than your fast fashion trash. Just better value.
