The finger-licking deal will take place this Saturday, July 1, as part of the fast food giant’s 11 Days of Christmas in July. Customers can pick up a burger for one clam between 3pm and 5pm via the KFC app; once ordered, they can collect their meal any time before the restaurant closes.

I think it's did on purpose as 2:59:59pm was totally fine with the app when it's reach 3pm, the deal just disappeared.

I feel like KFC do this on purpose. If they want to solve this issue, just allow sell $1 zinger burger in-store. Even they just make this deal available until 5pm.

It's like the 10% off Maccas deal all those years ago. They never expected this much traffic and it all came crashing down.

What's worst, it lets you add it to your cart for $1 as a guest but you can't checkout because you can't sign in. Kfc is taunting it's userbase!

I noticed one of my local KFC refused app order pick ups probably preemptively avoiding the onslaught lol.
KFC app stating that the selected store is not offering Pickups currently is an incorrect error, probably due to the larger issue in the App.
Also, at the store their Kiosks are not working, as they'd be using the same software/backend. So for other orders too, people are lining up at the counter.
Major fail for KFC.
My other local KFC does accept pickups though.
Now how do I retract my vote for this deal? I have to stress that I have nothing against OP but I am very cross with KFC’s piss poor app.

By resolve the issue, they. mean wait until people give up so it takes the load off their service.
They lose money with ads so keep ads but not giving out the items,download the app for nothing
At least with Maccas and HJs they both have QR codes to redeem offers at the counter/kiosk if their app went down or glitched. This is where KFC have dropped the ball. If they didn’t force everyone to check out via the app, then they wouldn’t have this problem.
Then they will lose money selling your burger,KFC smarter than Maccas and HJs,you have to download the app and may keep it,if you do you will use it later and for all of this they don't have to sell you $1 burger
