[Counterfeit Items] AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) $265 + Delivery @ Weeklysales.com.au ($251.75 Price Beat @ Officeworks)

Moved to Forum: Original Link

My first time posting a deal so hopefully I'm doing everything right.

Was able to price match at my local officeworks for $251.75 for the Airpods Pro 2s! Was going to wait until the usb c version inevitably coming this september/october but that is way too long for me to wait 😂

Seems like it's only available for the next 5 and a half hours or so so be quick.

EDIT: Okay so definitely a scam website, saw the stock magically go back to 20 haha. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE, but price match instead

Mod Note: See reviews regarding the seller sending fake airpods: 1, 2. Amongst the apparent fraudulent 5* reviews from overseas users.

5% off your first order too if you subscribe to their newsletter. Have never heard of this website though..

Does officeworks have an online contact method for price matching like JBHIFI?

    • +2

I actually signed up and they sent me 10% off discount code. Got the final price down to $238.50. Fingers crossed hope it gets shipped.

      • yeah hopefully I didnt screw over my order by posting it here haha

  • Barely any OW stores around me with stock.

  • I just bought one yesterday for $329.65 after price beat from Officeworks. Is there a way I can still use this price beat on my yesterday's purchase? I have already opened them though.

    • Buy this one and returned it to Officeworks for yesterdays price

      • +2

But the serial number is in the receipt.

        • Generally, with products that insert into your bodily cavities (orifices), they don't accept returns. You can always try your luck, though.

  • +3

Is Weekly Sales a legitimate reseller? Some indication online that they supply fakes..surprised OW price matched!

    • +1

No one's actually price matched as yet, only suggested it as an option for both JB & OW.

Edit* looks like @GoSpend has managed to both find an OW with stock that price matched, now to find out with store that is &/or get them to post the recite so we can use it as evidence at another store with stock.

  • This is crazy price If it’s really genuine Aussie stock. Even cheaper than eBay plus deal a few weeks back for $280

    • Just price-beat at Officeworks, mitigate the risk and get a better price. Pay with 10% discounted gift cards to get them for $225 (insane price…)

  • Hope this is legit. Just bought one. That's the best price I've seen!

  • +3

So I literally just pulled up outside an Officeworks store when I saw this post. Thought I would go in and try my luck. Guy said it looks good for price matching, but the store didn’t have any stock and they can’t order any in. Oh well!

  • +1

usb c not an issue if you wireless charge

    • And you can charge it with Apple Watch charger.

  • Can officeworks do price match thru online chat? And can I use GC to pay it?

  • +13

Scam website. Check Reddit. You have a bunch of randos saying how fully legit these guys are (obviously fake) and then a bench of legitimate reviews saying no response from these guys after they take your money.

Seriously look at the product reviews alone… Sus as hell.

If you can price match at your Officeworks then obviously happy days, but wouldn't touch weeklysales with a 10 foot pole.

Oh and how convenient it's permanently on low stock and once it goes to zero it resets back to 10.

  • +1

If you manage to buy one, they offer 20% discount on next purchase, that brings down the price for another one at $212.

  • +5

Update on price matching - JBHIFI refusing to price match as they are "not a legitimate seller". Might have better luck in person at officeworks?

  • +4

Luckily managed to get from Officeworks, thanks OP

    • +1

which store & can you post a receipt so we can leverage another store with stock?

      • Called Officeworks as they had very limited stock availability, they will ship with invoice, hope they don’t cancel the order though

  • +4

FWIW their Facebook page have a few people saying they received fake Airpods amongst the sea of clearly fake reviews.

  • +1

These comments got me mad scared lol - if I've already ordered them at officeworks with price beat and paid for them, they can't deny it when its ready for pickup on monday yeah? Also should I be taking this listing down, or maybe just advising in the description to not buy from them but just price match?

    • +2

Your order is guaranteed, just advise others about the dodgy site, no need to delete.

      • Cool. Looks like site says sold out anyway so will mark as expired

    • If they've agreed to sell it to you and you've already paid, it's yours.

Probably just advise against buying from the website and try to pricematch.

    • same lol

  • -4

Just price beated w Officeworks and got 4 over the phone even though it sold out while I was calling :)))))

    • +1

glad i was able to repay you for the xbox deal :D

  • Interesting it got changed from Australian stock, now shows up as parallel stock

  • Don't be the sucker that buys it on their website. PB at Officeworks!

    • +1

      I am that sucker lmao

Feeling a bit uneasy about advertising a scam website even with a note in the description, so will report it to be taken down. If you somehow still see this post, DO NOT purchase from here, except price match at officeworks

  • Airpods 3rd gen for $189 same website for whoever wants to pricebeat those. RRP $269

  • Thanks op! Price beat and got 4 from Officework!

Just price beat for pick up in Brisbane via phone w Officeworks. Can’t order for pick in Sydney.

  • +1

price matched with officeworks! Thanks OP

  • Just price matched 2x with OW!! Thanks OP for finding the deal. The lady on the phone already had the website up cos she the person before me ordered the same thing!

  • +1

I just wondering how this whole retail and price system works, office works price matching for a fake product. Looks like lots people getting a good reduced price, does this means OW going to have a massive loss?

This is what HN tell us when you ask price match (can’t bear big loss)

  • Can someone send a receipt pls from officeworks? feel free to cross out sensitive info.

    • +1

      Do you still need one?

      • yes please

      • Could you pls share the receipt with me as well mate

      • Can you please also send me your receipt as well? Thank you!

  • -1

Can someone send a receipt pls from officeworks? feel free to cross out sensitive info. thanks

  • Thanks OP!
Managed to price match over the phone for pick up, today, from a local store. Officeworks now sent an email that my order has been delayed and pick maybe on 3rd July. Hope they don't cancel my order

  • -6

Im confused cause i dont even trust officeworks either after reading some comment here to ahh https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/771033

    • Please note: We have determined that the above user is associated with weeklysales.com.au, however they did not declare it initially.

  • OP’s website says sold out, now I can’t price match damn

Update: Called OW they said they don’t price match this seller anyways

  • +1

I tried to call and price beat, they wouldn’t do with that website

    • Same :(

    • same

  • price matched earlier this morning and picked it up okay.

  • Why have none of the accounts that have alleged that they have been able to price beat with OW attached their receipts to assist others?

    • Do the receipts have any personal info on them? I haven't seen an OW receipt in a while.

      • Personal info can be redacted

        • Hmm, maybe they don't know how to do that and upload it somewhere, or they just don't have time or don't feel like doing it. They're not obliged to upload their tax invoice after all.

In any case, do stores accept a redacted photo of an invoice for price matching? I always thought it had to be a website or something they can verify.

          • @eug: What has happened to the community spirit ??

            or

Could the price beat claims be BS ??

            • @[Deactivated]:

What has happened to the community spirit ??

It'd definitely be nice if they did, but they're not obliged to.
Will stores accept redacted photos of receipts for price matching anyway?

Could the price beat claims be BS ??

              Why would it be?

              • @eug:

Could the price beat claims be BS ??

                Why would it be?

Well, lets see - a new a/c (crossp9) created to comment that they used the OW price beat against @Weeklysales.com yet Mods subsequently uncover out that the a/c is actually linked to @Weeklysales.com.

something something just doesn't appear right

    • +1

Why do you even need a receipt, many of us have been able to get a price beat no questions asked. As @eug said:, why would we lie lmao

We just didn't think the need to upload anything. But for the sake of your accusation, here's my receipt if it makes you happy

      • -2

But for the sake of your accusation …

I was merely asking a question based upon the comments in this thread - you were the one that took it as an accusation.

        • +1

Could the price beat claims be BS ??

          Speculation cleared

          • @I Smell Pennies: Well done you for scoring 4. I'm surprised OW would honour their price beat against that website.

      • Where did you get the tax invoice from? Can’t figure out how to get that for mine. I have the order email but that’s about it

        • Email, came the same time I got the "ready to collect" email

          • @I Smell Pennies: Ah ok awesome. And just to console my nerves they definitely can’t cancel my order for Monday pickup since I’ve paid right?

            • @ThatNintendoKid: At first, I told them to deliver then they found out warehouse has no stock. So he checked all local stock levels and told me all the stock levels. At the time he told me the website is OOS but he'll still honour the price beat. Luckily there was some near my OW so I could pick up.

They can cancel if they have no stock. But I'm sure you'll be ok hopefully.

  • FWIW, I rang and spoke to weeklysales about it. Seems there was some confusion in how they listed it.

Sounds like they tried to convey that it was the Australian Model (which it is), but said they pretty much direct import by default (that’s their business model).

It’s legitimate Apple stock from Ireland.

Offered to provide a full refund if I didn’t want to proceed with the order and was a pretty friendly guy.

To me, it sounds like he’s just trying to get a business of the ground and offer grey imports at a decent price.

  • Can someone please share their price match receipt at Officeworks? Thanks so much!

  • Denied at officeworks sydney- do not match import stock

  • +1

    Hello!
Has anyone successfully gotten a refund through PayPal? I still haven't received a refund, even though I opened a case with PayPal. :(

    • Hi Shi! Can you please provide your order number so that we look into this for you?

    • It’s a scam

  • Took 4 emails back and forth asking for updates but I finally got a notification from AusPost that they have my package and it's on the way. It's shipped from QLD so it may have been an actual local stock. Will update here whether it's real or fake.

    • EDIT: Nevermind, I managed to get it working with my iPad. I couldn't pair it with my iPhone before and thought it was fake. So far it looks real enough on my iPad's settings but I'm not 100% convinced. I might go to Apple Support to get them to take a look. The serial number looks right and it still has warranty until March next year (so I'm assuming they purchased it off Apple in March this year).

      Unfortunately got a fake AirPods.

      • I recommend you check the serial numbers printed on each individual AirPods, if it is the same then the item is 100% fake. Even more fake if it’s the same serial number printed inside the charging case.

        • Why would that make it fake? I believe the serial number should be the same but the model number is different. The serial number matches what's displayed in my iPhone's settings. It is genuine, I found that iOS 16 warns you if it's a fake product. And I was able to bring it in to Apple Store to get support for it. Nothing that says it's fake so far other than the packaging

    • Hey John,
Look, I placed 2 orders with you. Didnt receive any correspondence regarding the dispatch of my airpods. Tried contacting you via email and this phone number that you have provided. No one answered the phone for 4 days trying multiple times daily. Finally raised my concern with paypal, to which you replied with same tracking number for both orders. I received one airpods.
Then I had to ho through the same loop of calling you guys multiple times daily for 4 days until I spoke to you.
There are multiple reviews regarding your company on varous different websites. How do you plan to fix those? Most of those reviews are related to the airpods orders. Experience for me personally was bitter. Wont even come close to you guys again and would advise others to stay away. Poorest customer service ever.

      • Is the AirPods you received genuine? I just got mine and trying to figure out if it's fake.

  • Can +1 for a successful PB with Officeworks (Western Subs of ADL) - paid $275 for them with very few questions asked

    • Hey, would you be able to share a receipt by any chance for me to use to get PB? Thanks!
