  • 120kg weight limit for anybody wondering

I have this chair and at this price, it is a steal.

I find it considerably more comfortable than my partners equally priced Officeworks chair.

    Something to note though.

The headrest is a bit low. I am 175cm, and the headrest "cups" my neck, not my actual skull. So if you are of the taller persuasion, maybe this isn't for you. However, for the price I don't think you can go wrong.

For record, I paid about $250 delivered back in 2021.

  • Haven't personally sat in the chair but from a long time spent looking into budget ergonomic chairs a while back, this looked like one of the absolute best options out there at full price, from an ergonomics standpoint.

  • +1

I dont like the mesh base on this.

    • +1

I don't like it either. It's just low quality mesh. I threw mine away.

    • why people neg you… I agree, mesh seats get firm and uncomfortable.

  • Bought one of these a year ago. The seat cushion is so thin it feels like your sitting on a plank of wood. Avoid if your sitting for any length of time. Lumbar support is crap and the plastic support broke off. The back mesh is some kind fabric. Had thought it was metallic when I got it. Head rest is useless.

    • +1

wow totally different feedback from @ReqelinOz
      interesting…

      • I almost think he has some association with it. I still got mine but don't like it. Luckily i rarely use it so its not too bad
        .

  • again.. maximum seat high is just 54cm… that is too low

  • +1

Showing $74 delivery fee… perth metro area

    • If you're wary of the durability and looking for a local option, I would recommend you check out Arteil out near Stock Road (SOR). They have the Vix office chairs which are a decent and robust chair for the price. I've had one for a few years when I did WFH full time over COVID and it's not squeaky or failing in any way yet. They're a rung above officeworks tier ergo chairs like this, although neck rest is still low as reported here. You can also get them with flat slide feet instead of castors if you have a wood floor which is nice.

    • $89 to 6210. Imho deals shouldn't say free shipping if it's not country-wide. Especially when nothing on the product page says this.

  • +2

Not worth it. not even if it comes down to $99. Apart from mordern look, nothing is good. Back is a bit clumsy & seat is thin (no comfort)

  • Damnit, was really hoping the premium deal would have free shipping too.

  • cannot even create new account mydeal.com.au

  • Cheers OP. Grab one at this price

  • I have one of these and the headrest is very low does anyone know if there's a replacement headrest that can be attached that's higher?

    • how tall are you?

      • 6ft 1 / 185cm

        • ok hopefully good enough for 165cm

  • +1

I have one of these and find it pretty good. I work from home, ~170cm and 60kg.

BTW, if you reverse image the product image, you can find the unbranded alibaba listings, it is very cheap wholesale.

  • I’ve got this and it was great for a while now it’s like sitting on concrete

  • I'm on the fence on this one. I need a replacement chair for some garbage one I have in the garage.

Reviews here are 50/50. I'm short and appreciate a 'shorter' chair, also, like that it may sit lower on my head/neck.

Just wondering for those complaining about the thinness in the base, can you not add some more cushioning yourself afterwards? I usually have a seat cushion under me anyway so I wonder if this'll be a non-issue for me too..

    • +1

make sure you are ok with maximum seat height of 54cm
im not. i need higher than that, otherwise i have to buy new desk (which i dont want, i have stand sit desk already)

      • @ChiMot How do I go about measuring?

I'm guessing it's from the bottom of the base? My current garbage sits at about 40cm at lowest and 50cm's at maximum. I sit at about 45cm's all the time to allow the arm rests to fit under a table. Table also measures 70cm to the bottom of the tabletop.

I think with these measurements I should be good to go yeah?

        • hmm probably im the wrong then.. my desk is from floor = 73cm the lowest so my chair is at 56 cm now and it can actually go to 60 (its mid range office work matrix chair) so i dont know why this chair only 54max
i can fold the arm rest up so
          im 165 only btw
maybe i need to use cushion under like you

          • @CyberMurning: So I'm only 5cm taller than you but I believe a fair bit chunkier. I would like to run my chair a bit higher normally but then I'd be fiddling with the height every time to allow that flush chair every time I need to get up.. 😅

I know I mentioned the cushion, but on this chair it looks like it may be a little tricky with what looks to be a constantly curved base? The highest point being right in the middle? Going to need one of those chair cushions that can be tied down to the chair somewhat (usually by a single strap at the back of the cushion)..

            • @WasBargain: You can get Cushion with strap from ikea but very thin.

I think my problem is my desk, it should be around 68cm not 73cm
I try to sit with arm 90 degree to desk surface, so not angled up or down. Thats why i sit high (floor to chair base around 58cm).

              • @CyberMurning: Yeah, that makes sense with your dimensions to need to sit high to keep your arms in good posture too. But yeah, I'm glad you mentioned the maximum seat height to make sure for people in a similar situation.

                • @WasBargain: Yeah thats very important factor no point chair shape is ergonomics but you cant sit properly.
Same with buying stand sit desk need to know min and max.

I got one of this last year. I have been using this working from home 3-4 days a week. I find it pretty good. The mesh is not the best to sit on in shorts. I've got an HM Aeron. The Aeron's mesh is much smoother. But in long pants, they're ok. I'm 178 and I find the head rest ok. It needs some force to pull it up all the way and the angle can be tuned. It's up to near the bulge bit at the back of head close to top of neck.

I got 3 for my kids (without head rest) a few days ago in another post. I find it alright at this price.

  • +1

I bought mine in November last year when it was listed here at $189 and am pretty happy with it for what I paid. The mesh can feel a bit hard, but I sit on one of the sheepskins that I bought from one of the other OzB deals (whatever happened to those?) and it's quite comfortable for me. Much better overall than the overpriced 'gamers' chair that I had before. I'm 182cm tall, but a lot of that is legs and I find the head rest is positioned perfectly in the curve of my neck.

  • I bought from the deal last year too, I must say I love it. mesh is great as I am one that feels too hot too quickly.

  • Use same code as @OP for 20% off the padded version as well

  • Ouch! $75 delivery to 2449. Kinda kills the deal for me. Woulda pulled the trigger if i had free shipping. Oh well 😀

  • Anyone had theirs sent yet? I ordered on 27/6 and still showing as 'Pending Dispatch' .

    • Nope

      • +1

My order was showing as ‘picked up’ yesterday, so 7 days after order. A far cry from the 24-48hr dispatch indicated when ordering.

        • Thanks for the info which set up my expectation properly.

  • My order was finally delivered on Tues..except it did not come with the screws and mydeal said the hardware kit was out of stock, will take the overseas manufacturer awhile to supply and they can offer me a partial refund of $40 for my inconvenience and to source the screws locally….
