Has the OzBargain table been filled up as yet?

      • +16

        No, theres one milkcrate left

Coles C&C has been a roulette wheel. Almost not even worth the effort.

  • These are the Valentine's ones. Hopefully not too short dated

      Bought one expiry Feb24

      • Great thanks

    • +2

Havent used coles C& C in a while, used to be you paid 15c for a plastic bag they packed your stuff in, has it gone to 25c and it's paper bag which is useless as garbage bag and can't be used as often as multi use plastic bag ?

  • "Currently unavailable" for me.

    • +1

You beat me to it lol - time to report?

      • Unfortuntely..

I've never tried these, heck or even seen these. They sound tasty as though. I would have grabbed a few to try.. 😅

        • +1

I was going to coles in the morning too / maybe I should just for curiosity?

          • @prankster: I didn't realise that was even an option.. 😅 Think I need sleep.. And will try and get up earlier to check too! 😁

Edit: Just remembered I need to do a small shopping run too, fingers crossed for the OzB gang! ^^

            • +1

@WasBargain: I’ll report back in the morning. 😂 and yeah I need sleep too lol

              Yep special in store 👍

              • +1

@prankster: Thanks mate! So cold in Melbourne!

About to take the motorbike out now anyway and give it a shot. Apparently worse case I can swing by Woolies and grab the 360g for $6 which is about the same value.

        • Was just at Coles - picked up a box.
Wasn't in the chocolate section (try near the flowers).

          • @Joda: RIP, I tried 2 coles earlier.. Label was on shelf in chocolate section but both dead empty.. 😪 I might try Woolies tomorrow for the 360g box.

            • @WasBargain: That's unfortunate - maybe online can tell you if the store has stock?

Personally though, I'd prefer the normal size Toblerone - so maybe Woolies is the better option.

              • @Joda: It's come up as "item unavailable" for the last few days. I even tried logging out of my account to make sure they haven't like barred me, to no avail. But it looks like some people here are still able to order?! Weird.

I think the 360g is just a bigger box. Probably still individually packaged. I've never been the biggest fan of Toberlone but I LOVE nougat and honey so these sounded bomb. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Did you try it yet? How does it go?

                • +1

@WasBargain: Chocolate doesn't last long around here - so it went fairly quick.
It's good, but prefer the normal bars over the mini though.

Same price per weight as $6 for 360g bar ( which Woolworths is currently doing ).

  • are these from valentines day and about to expire?

    • Bought one expiry Feb24

      • ok, that is enough time. i should finish it within a month or 2.

  • Thanks OP. Bought 4 boxes for fund raising activities. Bunch of stocks at Coles Kingston. The expiry date is 31/01/2024.

  • Mine expire 26/02/2024

    • Good for next Valentine's

      • Oh yeah good idea! Lol

        • @prankster Just picked up a few boxes. Expiry date 31/01/24. Not for next Valentine's

          • @trixieb: It’s chocolate still so all good, it’s not use by right as long as you eat within 5 years should be fine I say lol

    • Yeah got it same expiry date too

  • +1

2 full cartons at Marrickville Metro Coles. Labelled $14 but scanning $4.

  • Any different than normal toblerone?

    • +2

@GnarlyKnuckles: To be fair if we all treat the world as a disposable trash can our future generations will suffer.

            Good price/g though.

            • @Chocobros: Sadly that’s the rate the world is going to suffer unfortunately, and as optimistic as I’d like to say we are trying to save the planet reduce plastic etc we’ll just fk it up too much by then.

  • Thanks.
    Ordered 5x for delivery.
    Confirmed order.
I wouldn't mind if they provided a substitute in case they're suddenly OOS.

  • Thanks OP. They are delicious.

  • They had some at Coles in Fitzroy.

  • Not a fan. As a child, I was always disappointed when the o/s relatives used to gift the kids the huge Toblerone blocks & we were meant to be impressed but it tasted meh.

    • +1

      that, sir, is chocoblasphemy

      • lol - even as a 'disrespectful' kid, I preferred to tell it like it is rather than act like a jumbo Toblerone was the best present ever.

        • to be fair, the jumbos are a bit of a novelty (as are these OP minis).

The regular sized triangles are the sweet spot (hur hur) for eatability IMO.

But if you didn't even like the taste as a kid….well there's no hope then :P

          • @andresampras: I reckon I could taste the wrongness of soy lecithin before I knew what it was

            • @[Deactivated]: (fingers in ears) LALALALALALALA

              ignorance is bliss

              • @andresampras: lol - as with everything else, only in moderation ;)

Anyone know where these are made? I know some toblerone are now made in Slovakia and not Switzerland?

    • +1

My husband bought Jarlsberg cheese that is Made in Ireland!

What is the world coming to?

    • +1

@lonewolf These are made in Switzerland.
      Much nicer than Cadbury

  • +1

The RRP of $14 is a rip off, but $4 is very good.

  • Do people still see local stock or is it all gone?

    • +1

Still showing but is $7 for me.

      • Yep didn't even think we could've got a raincheck, my local shelves were completely empty now restocked @ higher price.

  • $4 still for me. I bought 8 at Sandringham yesterday
