  Just fyi this JB hi-fi deal ending today is 35% cheaper

  • $1400 off an S23 Ultra (and some staff let you price match) so taking the Amazon price you posted: 1801.12 - 1400 = $401.12 for the 512GB
  • $766.67 Telstra cancellation fee: 766.67 + 401.12 = $1167.79 final price
  • Request a refund on the first month of the plan via Telstra chat once it's no longer a pending charge
  • Can redeem watch

    Can I do math for your final 2 steps too?

    Do you get $99 refund for the cancelled first month on Telstra plan?

    $1167.79 - $99 = $1068.79

    If I resell the watch, let's say $300…

    $1068.79 - $300 = $768.79

    Wait wait, can we get latest Note (S series ultra) in 500GB for less than $800?!

      I'm tempted to go and buy an ultra 512. But I've never broken a contract. What should I do?
      Should I go to JB and
      1. price match it with Amazon for $1801.12 ?
      2. Then pay around $400 for the contract and get the phone as well as a sim card with NEW number?
      3. Should I go back to JB in a few minutes to break the contract? Or should I chat/email with Telstra to break the contract?
      I guess at this stage they (Telstra or JB) will ask for around $766.
      And potentially Telstra has already taken $99 for the 1st month
      4. Then at night or next day I chat to Telstra to give that $99 back since I opted out in the 1st day?
      5. Ask samsung website to send me a watch potentially by giving them its IMEI.

      which parts are right/wrong?

      They immediately charge you $99 and then refunding the $99 will result in a net discount of $0 so final price is still $1167.79

    Yesterday, I got the s23 ultra 512GB price matched with the good guys 15% off @ JB hifi

    $1656 - $1400 ($99 plan with ETC $766 on contract)
    Paid $10 bday voucher and $250 discounted coles mastercard.

    $99 first month refunded without any hassle.

    Got final invoice for $766 termination invoice.

    Total cost approx $970. Planning to get TRS and pay the termination fee with 3 x discounted coles mastercards which will bring cost down to $910 -$160 TRS

    The image says minimum plan cost of $2376. May I ask how do we get the $766.67 termination fees. Is it written somewhere in the T&C's?

    The refund on the first months cost? Is it once you terminate the contract and then ask for refund.

  I'm at JB now and they are happy to price match with Amazon. But seller says he's pretty sure that when cancelling the contract, we should pay the cancellation fee plus this $1400 voucher which would be total of more than $2k. I'm confused now.

  I thought the $99 plan for $1400 off on the s23 series expired last Thursday. I went into jb hi fi yesterday and l was able to price match TGG for 512gb s23 ultra for $1656 and signed up to the $49 plan. Im so disappointed that l left $300 + on the table.

  Jb hifi in eleizabeth st wont match price amazon. Has to be paid in full price to get 1400 voucher. Bad luck for me
