Wasn't sure if I should post this deal… Because it is not quite all time lowest (it is the lowest posted on Ozbargain though) and there might be some crazy deals on Amazon day 11-12 of July which may surpass that.

Wera 05004046001 8100 SB 6 Zyklop Metric Speed Ratchet Set, 29 Piece, 3/8" Drive (note it is the 3/8 or 9.5mm drive and not 1/4 or 6.34mm drive, so a bit pricier).

Similar set with 1/4 drive here
Wera 05004016001 8100 SA 6 Zyklop Metric Speed Ratchet Set, 28 Piece, 1/4" Drive $119.20
https://www.amazon.com.au/Wera-05004016001-Zyklop-Metric-Rat…

I saw quite a price drop for this adapter first
Wera Zyklop 8784 B1 Adaptor, Hexagon Drive 3/8" x 44mm Adaptor for $23.44
https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B003GDIRQW/?coliid=I39SHRQ46CDO… and grabbed it, but then decided to get the whole set which seems on a similar discount.

Anyway, I guess it is definitely a good price if you need it now, and it may not drop much lower, great Wera quality and design as always. A good value if you need most items from the set. I understand why people like it so much. My first Wera set BTW.

PS I am sorry guys, I have just found that Wera also has this set Wera 004175 8100 Zyklop Speed Bicycle 3/8 Inch Drive Ratchet Bit and Socket 27 Piece Set which is A LOT better suited for the bikes. It is a little bit more expensive, but it does not have those useless PH and Pozi and has 8 and 10mm hex, smaller sockets, 3/8 to 1/2 adapter… I had to actually cancel this set above and get this one instead. Currently still $187.20 but not for long, just another hour left! Just managed to get it myself. Unsure what the regular price is but looks like something around $240 according to camels?

I know! You were so quick as well. Was a hard day, happens to everyone. Thanks!

  • Price in title please

  • I got the 1/4" Drive $119.20
Should I get the adaptor too, if yes what is the use for it?

    • No of course not! First of all it is a 3/8 drive to 1/4 hex and yours would have a 1/4 drive, and secondly - it is already included in both sets. I just needed the adapter to use hex bits on a wrench. But that is the beauty of it - you get adapters in sets and they are quite nice. Allow you to use hex bits with different tips (torx, hex, philips head, pozi etc etc). There are many adapters like that but Wera's are one of the best.

      • Nice, good to know! my first set of proper one.

  • Interest….

Checking my Amazon past orders, paid $113.78 for the 1/4" set listed above in November last year.

    $119.20 isn't so bad for today's price

  • I have the exact set, while it is a good quality set, and the way the sockets have a locking mechanism to the case so they don't just fall out, not a massive fan of the elastic straps and rubber grooves to hold the extensions and hex bits, they are to loose and slip to easily.

Really a nice kit, but unless you really need the size/ portability, better off with a proper socket set kit. Bancho and Gearwrench make really good value kits

    • I am not buying it for sockets, I need other parts (mainly, the 3/8 to 1/4 adapter, extenders and the wrench) and sockets come as extra. But I can not see any rubber bands on the sockets in the picture. I do not think they have holding function.

      • There are way cheaper alternatives if your after adaptors, and extensions, the rubber slots I am talking about is for the hex keys and bits, the socket set itself is a really smart twist connect mechanism so it doesn't fall apart

        • Extension are not a problem, adapters are. I have two cheaper hex adapters and they are sloppy crap. Good extension are not going to be much cheaper though.
There are no rubber slots on the hexes or on the hex adapters, still unsure which bits in this set have rubber parts. What's the part number?

You can definitely get cheaper extensions and hex adaptors online for 30. The rubber slots I'm talking about is for the hex bits down at the bottom of the case. I have the case in my hand I can tell you first thing that it will slide out over time.

            • @Bargain4Days: SCA set in your link is proper junk (no offence). I could get a much better set of extensions cheaper on Amazon (managed to find an OK set for $12-13). Just don't want budget tools, have passed that stage. A proper extension set similar to Wera in quality will be at least around $35-40 and that's cheap.

I am with you in the rubber bits part now! It is not any parts, you are just talking about the case, aren't you? Well the case is not such a big deal… It does not affect tool performance.

    I ♥️ Wera

  • Do the sockets in the 3/8 kit and the 1/4 kit have the "holding" feature? I could not see it in the description of the product.

Don't think they do in this set.

      • Thanks. I was not sure if all of their sockets grip or if only particular ones do.
