  • Cheers grabbed one

Just as flexible as a trojan condom is.

    Not for professional use.

I have these in imperial and metric and they round off so easily compared some other sets I have. But for $1.98 probably not the end of the world

      Sounds like $2 landfill tbh.

I cannot remember the last time I had a hex key round off.

  • This or craftright?

    • +4

From pricing trojan should be better than craft right.

    • -1

Craftright is the cheap low quality brand.
Trojan is better, but craftright tools tend to be barely good enough for most of households.

      • craftright tools tend to be barely good enough for most of households

They should be called craftwrong…since they're crafted wrong

  • Sorry for my poor knowledge:
Will it work in assembling and disassembling of beds.
It covers L key of all almost sizes for that?

    Thanks in advance

    • Yes, you will be fine with this one.

      • Thanks

    • Yeh that’ll be perfect. Just make sure the Allen keys are seated correctly before turning with lots of pressure, otherwise you might round one off ;)

      • "Allen keys seated correctly" i tried googling it and couldn't find anything useful. I will try to look up again.

        Thanks for the reply

Most of the flatpacked furniture comes with all required allen keys.
Keep then in a safe place with assembly instructions so that you can dissemble correltly with right keys when required.
The free allen keys are not to the quality of industrial ones.

      • I see. I ordered a bed from amazon but the assembly seems a bit hard and at one point i didnt have the relevant key ( i realised it after i opened up everything).

Using these Allen keys takes ages. Trust me and get the Bosch kit once. Usually comes on sale on Amazon.

Takes so much less time and a must have in my opinion. Can get anything similar as well. But get a ratchet one.

      • Thanks for the link.

What things it could help out in the house?

Bed assembly is one, i assume. Where else it can be useful?

And can u please suggest something "must have" in the house. Thanks

      • That Bosch set would be useless for anything I ever need hex keys for. It's got no reach, you can't get it into tight spaces. Good for working on larger machines with easy access and not much else imo. The giveaway here is the massive heads that come with the set. But machinery tends not to use hex heads in the first place.

With a good L set with ballheads at the long end you just drop the ball in and spin by the shaft for speed, then you use the short handle for torque.

  • +1

Great price, but the type that have a lil ball are better for working in tight spaces. This is perfect for having in the toolbox as a cheap avoid-a-trip-if-you-can-avoid-it insurance policy.

  • +1

These are obviously not for use on any important mechanical devices like cars, motorcycles or machinery. Your only hope is they round off before deforming the hex bolt.
    Fine for Ikea assembly probably.

    • These may be an exception but I've typically found Trojan tools to be pretty handy and reliable for the price.

  • the sizes are small, i thought from the picture it might include an 8mm or 10mm key

RRP prices seem like BS, i got a metric set like this from aliexpress recently for US$12 for my bicycle

  • I find these aren’t long enough to give you a lot of torque to release stuck bolts. Better off with long handle ones for more cash.

  • Does the lifetime guarantee cover rusting? my imperial set has rusted (which is strange, cos my metric set is fine)

  • perfect to replace my snapped ones
