There are some Citizen Eco-Drives around this price on Starbuy as well.

    • Thanks WatchNerd, they're beautiful watches. If Starbuy has them on sale for around the same price I'd preference Starbuy. Not because their service is excellent (which it is) but because we need more competition to encourage lower prices more often across a wider range of products.

Starbuy don't have this model anymore , personally surprised to see it advertised at all !
Always liked these but one solar and an auto is enough…

        • Yeah I was surprised as well. I really like the different colour minute hands on these. Makes it easy to tell the time,

  • I really want citizen to re-issue their Windsurfing model from the late 80's early 90's (the square dial version). Finding one in decent condition is rare as hen's teeth. There is one on eBay that is NOS but it's also asking $1600!

A cheaper option for a similar style would be to buy a Casio Royale then mod it with a Kranio SS Case.

See this old post for info & links in the description.

Thanks! I know Casio makes that one but didn't realise about the Kranio case.

I'm not after the style as much as that specific watch for nostalgia reasons (so a replacement will not scratch thee itch). One came up on eBay a couple of weeks ago and I just missed out on the auction

I'm going to be controversial and say that these are pretty dull, anodyne watches, and if you currently own any sort of diver style watch then you already have everything this watch offers. If you don't, then sure, great price for a name-brand automatic.

I did find this one though, only a limited number available so not worthy of a post of its own.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/374630284357 - Citizen AT2430-80E, $179 with discount code. Cheapest I found elsewhere was $229 at Watsons plus possible 5% signup bonus.
It has a different look to your average chrono, with the integrated subdials (not sure how else to describe then) and the knurling on the crown. Eco-drive too.

Sub-$300 for the busy aviator-style Promaster BJ7136-00E from the same store too, if that's more your bag.

Still waiting for the yellow dial Citizen eco-drive to get featured in a Stardeal before I pull the trigger (if it has already, then I missed it).

    • Ok, had a look and I totally missed it a couple of months ago. Damn! Saves my wallet at least. Will wait until it (or maybe the yellow dial automatic) shows up as a Stardeal.

Damn you sd1970. Everything seems expensive for the spec :((

    • Haha it's a game changer.
