Gather around OzBargainers:

My partner bought a 32" monitor so naturally as a immasculated insecure male I had to buy one the Dell G3223D.

She bought a Gas Spring dual stand so I had to buy one. BUT OH NO THEY WERE ON SALE ANYMORE! So I went and bought 3 of these single ones as listed.

Guess I showed her right!….right?

The serious part:

  • Up to 32" Monitors (it's a single so go as big by see serial 2)
  • Load - 2-9 kg
  • Height extension - 173mm to 470mm tall
  • Max forward extension - 65cm
  • Tilt and Swivel - Tilt +85°/-30°, swivel 180° and rotate 360
  • Clampy base
  • VESA IS 75x75cm or 100x100cms
  • If you add 2 you will get 8% off bringing it to $75.90 total. Tested with 3 and it discounted the 3rd with another 8%.
  • RRP $67.99 allegedly meaning a 39% discount… sure

The buying factor for me is I working in policy so i need my screen space but when gaming I pull the 32" screen close to me so I can see the pixels of whose teabagging me in 2K.

You can tighten the tilt so heavier monitors wont droop on their own. Hack to ensure proper strength is get a rubber washer to add more friction when tightening it. Reports show people have experienced droop but maybe they didnt tightening the tensioner right or didnt try the little blue washer trick (pun).

Just for reinforcement - If you add 2 you will get 8% off. Tested with 3 and it discounted the 3rd with another 8%.

White is also avaliable for slightly more ($52.49) with less of a discount for multiple (6%) (https://amzn.asia/d/dxq09mH)

Not the lowest according to Cx3 at $37.50 in the past 6 months (https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B09MCKQ6G2) but still a good deal. If you want to wait till prime day then HODL and see but im impatient and need to restore my dominance.

Disclaimer: We have a loving relationship and this is all for fun…well most of it.

Something that's not powered - hopefully it's not a "fire" sale

    • -2

A powered montor arm - thats some space age stuff. Id have to be a sigma male to buy that!

Hopefully it works out - the articulation is what got me buying it… besides the price.

  • +2

    In your case, size matters

    • +1

Enough jelousy for a 32", not enough for a wide screen curved. Just gotta stay a few inches above the competition!

      • +4

I believe consensus is straight >> curved

maybe the same for monitors too, not sure

        • This needs more upvotes!

  • +4

    Hydrogen gas I'd imagine.

    • Its powered by imagination….

I thought the same "Gas Springs"

Yeah m8… Still a good price point

    • Nice!

  • +1

I've got a pair of these - they work great :)

    • +3

Awesome! Did you experience the droopy droop?

      • +3

I have an OzBargain Phillips 32”. These have held up. I’ve strapped a thunderbolt dock to the back and needed to tighten a few screws so it doesn’t droopy droop.

        • Winner!

Would go for the NB H100 instead personally

New NB H100 Monitor Desk Mount Stand Full Motion Swivel Monitor Arm Gas Spring for 22''- 35'' Computer Monitor from 2kg to 12kg https://amzn.asia/d/g19KKWA

    • +2

Absolutely considered this but the discount for 3 (was actually looking for 3) made the deal.

If this fails horribly ill be getting 3 of the ones you've recommended!

    • Any particular reason why? Currently picking between the two.

      • +1

More reliable brand and better design IMO - pole makes it easier to place if your desk is closer to a wall.

      • I like the aesthetic more and the cable management if im to be honest.

The NBH100 loads more though up to 12 kgs

    • I bought the H100 recently and it already started drooping after a week.

I have a Samsung 34” ultra wide which weighs under 7kg without the stand.

I’ve also bought a Brateck from scorptec which is supposed to support up to 9kg but also started drooping after week….

Anyone have any tips on how this can be resolved? Rubber discs? Any brand recommendations?

Do heymix just source every OEM thing?

    • +2

They seriously looks like your run of the mill slap a sticker on company.

There is a warning for all these electronics. Luckily these are powered by spite instead.

  • +2

I too am an immasculated insecure male who needs to see the pixels of who’s teabagging me, SOLD!

Im a diamond in IT so you can imagine my tech reports and policy documents are littered with golden nuggets like this.

    I wish I were an immaculate male….

    • +1

I am super far from immaculate!

Most desks arent more than 8cms unless youre a sigma chad with a proper wood hand crafted table.

If youre getting a single get the Bayou F80 purely because it can load 3 kgs more. But to be very honest…i dont like the yellow sticker or cable management.

      • +1

        I guess I'm a sigma chad twice over….

My desk is just over 8cm thick so I bought two of the F80 last week

        • Nothing wrong with that! Fit for purpose.

I have a hardwood eletric lifty doo da table but i made sure the top was 4 - 5 cms for sturdness. Just ask me how many times ill be swearing when i move.

          • +1

@newti: how many times will you be swearing when you move? or are you swearing that you will never move now due to this choice of desk?

            • @koolstik: Column A and Column Gaddamit.. Its a nice desk but forgot about the weight with the legs attached.

          • +3

@newti: just hire movers, and swear at them just the once when you get the bill (and each time they drop something I suppose)

            • @andresampras: …..I must have smooth brain - thats an excellent idea!

  • +1

if you got a Dell monitor you should def get dell msa20 when on sale
its around $140 and its solid as

    • That looks like a thycc boi - great for western sydney TN nabbings.

In seriousness thats a solid mount. At this time im cheap but when I invest in panels this will need to be on the list!

      • nah, its for those aw3423dwf Alienware deals going around :)
but its worth noting that Dell ecosystem makes it real easy to just snap the monitor in, you dont have to worry about VESA plates and all that - just click it in, worth $$ on its own

Multiple singles are far better than a dual

    • +4

AND I QUOTE FROM MY OTHER HALF:

"…in retrospec this is a much better purchase than mine… also why are you like this?"

  • My pet peeve with my current stand is that there's a slight wiggle / rotation of the monitor. I'd love a stand where I can clamp it to perfect horizontal without it tilting slightly (few degrees) either side whenever I touch the monitor. Will this suffice?

    • I think for your needs you need something with a fixed horizontal plane. This has ALOT of move to it.

    • sounds like something is loose (or your monitor exceeds stand's weight limit)

      • +1

Just the design of the mount's attachment to the vesa backing plate… it's pretty silly how it works.
Thanks for the info guys. I'll keep looking.

  • Will this be OK for a 34 inch monitor that's 7kg?

    • Yes but check the VESA config. Some side boiz are some wierd bracket config

    • Read the reviews, if it helps-No Offence OP

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless for a 32” monitor
Reviewed in Australia on 29 May 2023

The produce was easy to install, but then you can’t tighten it enough to stop a large monitor from flopping down all the time. Even though the weight of the monitor is way under the recommended max its useless

  • Looking for a dual mount if anyone has any recommendations?

    • I would get 2 x 1 for hte flexibility else there is the HEYMIX dual which is nice but its not on special.

You can get 2 x 1 in this model for $75~ where the duals will go for 80.

Just received this and the associated laptop tray from the same manufacturer. It's adequate, but I'm not impressed at all. Definitely not worth the full price. Looks kinda flimsy and anaemic on the desk. I had to file one of the bolts to get it to start on the thread for the desk mount. Some of the threads are tapped on an angle. The embossed logo is not straight. My study now smells of melted-down tuk-tuk tyres from the stick-on rubber desk protection pad they provide. The non-slip pads look like they were applied by the same guy who 'applies' pickles to Maccas burgers; from across the room with a flick of the wrist, a la disc golf style.

Not sure if I would want to mount a monitor on this. It looks like it's just holding on with my 2.6kg laptop. Just thought I'd drop my feedback while the deal is still active.

NB is a way better brand if you're looking for a mount. My two ultrawides are mounted to a dual NB. Much better engineering, machining and finishing.

Edit: Added more scathing feedback. Grammar.

    • Have you considered a career in creative writing?

Thanks for the feedback - lucky for me ive had zero issues with returns so if this is a lemon and smells like a Bangkok Tuk Tuk and holds up like my morale in the military its going back to Amazon.

Thanks for the feedback - very welcome!

PS: Points for the TukTuk reference I spat my tea out.

Ok I have all 3 arms installed. Here are some comments:

    • With a Dell G3223D you have to connect the VESA plate to the arm and then strong arm the monitor up and screw it in since the VESA plate mount is receeded in the monitor. This is EXACTLY why I go to the gym.
    • Smells like plastic not-so-fantastic but it dissapated quickly.
    • The HEYMIX Professional logo is moulded plastic and straight which is a nice finish.
    • The cable management is eh - just 2 squeeze channels that im sure ill break in under a month.
    • Its holding a 32" monitor fine now after tightening the screws. The other 27" monitors a fine
    • Good articulation and feels solid.
    • Cat loves the desk space.

Stay tuned for more after I wear it a bit more.
