2011 Dakine Men's Snowboard Gloves - $39.90 (Normally $79.90 in US, and $100+ in AU)

80

I was after a pair of quality Snowboard Gloves and after doing some research I finally found one that suit my needs. I wanted a leather one with gore-text for a reasonable price. I was already using a more basic model from Dakine and knew they were quite good.

Last week I found this online shop Torpedo7 which is based in NZ and ships to Australia. I was a bit hesitant because I hadn't heard about before, but decided to give it a go. My parcel just arrived and I am quite happy with the purchase.

** Just a heads up on the size => I read a lot of reviews saying to size up and indeed I got a LARGE one instead of the usual MEDIUM and it fits perfectly. I think if I had ordered a Medium I would have regretted **

    "I wanted a leather one with gore-text"

Lol the "gore-text" is instructions on how to commit the perfect murder without leaving fingerprints. ;P

  • Being drop shipped from Taiwan etc, just be wary. I bought a combo recently, received everything except board.

Still chasing it up , hopefully pick it up today

    • My Gloves were shipped out of Sydney and arrived in 7 business days - can't say for other products.

      • lucky you

Use FIRSTPURCH2012 to get $10 off if your order is over $50. Makes shipping free pretty much.

  • Have today's gloves improved much over gloves made 5-10 years ago?
I ask this because I have a pair of gloves which I prefer to wear but if it's blizzard conditions the mits are my choice as they keep my hands warmer.

    • imo no, the older ones are better, the tech in the new ones is better the build quality generally is not.

  • I prefer mitts when boarding tbh. Way warmer & you don't really need the dexterity to open ski pole loops etc.

Just find a pair of mitts with +8 to DEX and equip those IMO.

  • Cant justify another set of gloves, only have 1 set of hands and already about 6 sets of gloves but this looks like a great deal! I just bought a set of battery heated mitts for skiing Niseko in Feb for about the same price on one of the 40% off deals at Sierra Trading Post.
